Hi Remy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
ReJu Essential was created out of necessity. My husband suffered a life-altering injury and after years of chronic back discomfort, we knew an alternative intervention was needed. I also noticed family and friends suffering from sore muscles and joints as well as a host of stress-related symptoms. As a health care professional with over 20 years of experience, I wanted to find a way to help them. I was not interested in products that would elicit a “high” or contained concentrated levels of THC. After a thorough review and selection process of hemp – derived CBD products ReJu Essentials was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey into the CBD world has been a labor of love. Sometimes it’s hard to see yourself in a space where you are underrepresented. Less than 2% of entrepreneurs in this space are black-owned. Also, the stigma around CBD means that before I can pitch my products, I have to educate potential customers about the benefits of CBD and assure them that the products are 100% legal.

What are you most proud about brand wise?
The CBD that we source for all ReJu Essentials products is extracted from 100% US Grown industrial hemp with negligible amounts of THC — less than the 0.3% necessary to meet legal requirements. All of our CBD is third-party lab tested to ensure we meet these requirements. ReJu Essentials products are sent to third-party labs to check the quality and quantity of CBD.
