Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Archie.
Hi Aaron, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Shortly after I graduated from college at the end of 2008, I made the decision to jump into creating my own multimedia company that provided all illustrative types of products. Also, around this time, social media began to get big and for me, it was an easy way to get my name out there and reach people. Along the way, I was able to make a lot of great connections and as a result, I got quite a bit of work (via referrals and people seeing my work).
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur is a liberating experience, but it can absolutely be challenging. Recessions and inflation have made it harder at times to do business with clients on an individual (non-corporate) level. On the other hand, during the pandemic, I was so busy I didn’t really have time to breathe. I say that to say, there have been very highs and many lows and you learn to weather out the storm.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I draw and I specialize in illustrating. I can draw virtually anything, and I’m fast. I also design and do 2D Animation. A lot of people know who I am (indirectly) from a cartoon I did for DJ Vlad featuring Webbie and The Breakfast Club. What sets me apart is the fact that my company is a one-stop shop; we can do everything from create a logo to making a children’s book, a cartoon and more!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Likes – the weather and the different types of food! Also, I love how everything (the ocean to the mountains) is only an hour in a half away.
Dislikes – traffic is horrible here and the gas prices are high for no reason, smh.
