Check Out Xamiri’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xamiri.

Hi Xamiri, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first started producing at 15 really as just a pastime during the off-season for sports. At 16, I stop producing completely to focus on sports (football & lacrosse). Started my artistic career under Macceaux when Covid hit in 2020. Quarantine really drove me to educate myself in FL studio. I stuck with being an artist and building a solid discography up until 2022. 2022 was the year I lost my mother early in January. That loss slightly put me in a depression and I chose to put the whole artist thing on the back burner. About a month later I went to Chicago with my cousin for about two weeks to clear my mind, that’s where he proposed that if I didn’t want to get in the mic anymore, I should pick up producing again. Since then I’ve been mainly producing. Around August of 2022, I started a music collective, which was the birth of Ëthernet. Which was made up of producers and artists that I’ve worked with during my artist-run. We’ve definitely came a long way to get where we are right now. A lot of time spent in arguments, also growing and maturing. We currently just finished up our first collective album, “ËTHERWRLD” that will be released on April 28th, 2023.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely wasn’t a smoothie Road! ËTHERWRLD was scrapped around October. We had this massive disagreement about not dropping on my birthday, December 19th because my co-founder ËthernetWill felt we wouldn’t deliver quality music because it was rushed, granted the collective was only alive for 2 months at that point. Once we got past that, around the end of March, we had ËTHERWRLD Version 1. We sat in it for about a week and I came to the conclusion that the album wasn’t up to par with what we had a vision for. So April 1st, we started working from scratch on a totally different version of ËTHERWRLD. We finished that in about two weeks, which now we feel is perfect for what we originally had in mind for the album.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Im a music producer that can also sing, rap and song-write. I’m also the Founder/CEO of The Ëthernet Collective, and most importantly I’m myself!
