Today we’d like to introduce you to Keith and Amanda Kraft.
Hi Keith and Amanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We are K&A Theatricals, a Broadway Performing Arts Company born in Hollywood and home in Georgia. We are also professional actors, Keith and Amanda Kraft. Our theater company is run out of our home studio in Stockbridge, but we take our students and performances all over the country. Our students have performed in National Tours at Disney World, Six Flags Over Georgia, the GA World Congress Center, The Ashland Theater in Alabama, The Jennie T Anderson Stage and The Attic Theater in Los Angeles. As professional actors, we have performed in over 30 musical theater and dramatic productions in Los Angeles, New York, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. We have the mission to help everyone find their spotlight by educating and inspiring actors and singers of all ages.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
K&A Theatricals as a Performing Arts Company has survived for over a decade through relocation from LA to GA, Covid and the constant search for a theater home. We grew our company over 300% during covid when we went virtual and produced the Show Must Go Online Series which can be found on our YouTube Channel. Keith and Amanda as performers, have survived for the last 20 years by pounding the pavement in Los Angeles, interning at theaters all over the country, growing as performers in the Atlanta Theater Community, and recently joining AEA.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
K&A Theatricals is a Performing Arts Company born in Hollywood and home in GA. We (Keith and Amanda Kraft) are the Artistic Directors and Coaches. We have produced shows, recitals, showcases and summer camps for over a decade in Los Angeles and Atlanta. We specialize in private voice, acting, and piano lessons from our home studio. Our students have ongoing training and unique performance opportunities. We have performed at Walt Disney World, The Music in the Parks Festival with Six Flags Over GA, The Georgia Festival of Trees at the GA World Congress Center, The Stockbridge Tree Lighting, at the Ashland Theater in Alabama, and at the Attic Theater in Los Angeles with Seussical Jr. We are so proud that many of our students have landed national Broadway tours, gotten into prestigious Musical Theater Colleges and Universities, and earned scholarships in local pageants and competitions.
We teach acting and music lessons and classes/camps for all ages, from six to adult.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Amanda was born in India as a missionary child and her father started the musical theater program at the international school in India. This is where she found her voice and love of performing. Keith has been a working actor for over 30 years and was in the first Los Angeles graduating class of The American Music and Dramatic Academy.
Our daughter, Harmony Louisa Kraft is eight years old and just had her first professional theater contract with The Anderson Theater.
