Meet Cesar Chin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Chin.

Cesar Chin

Hi Cesar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A few years ago, doctors recommended I should eliminate all gluten and dairy products from my diet in order to improve my general health and longevity while reducing symptoms of suffering due to my gut sensitivity.

As a younger guy who lived off of cereals, snack bars, and granolas during college (which was not a good thing to do), I found it hard to keep myself satisfied with the available gluten and dairy-free products that the market had to offer. Being fed up with the limited choices available, I decided to create a recipe that not only tasted great, but that offered a number of health benefits such as immune health, longevity, and mental alertness without the stimulants. Something that was free of guilt, gluten, dairy, and seed oils with the benefit of quality organic ingredients.

After experimenting and going through many trials and errors, the perfect batch was finally created, which is now Nomad Snacks.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Fortunately, it has been a smooth venture since I started Nomad Snacks. However, out of our control, during the shipping process, our Gritpacks have been arriving to our customers in a different condition than we have originally packaged. We have been updating our packaging in order to maintain the quality of the Gritpacks. Lastly, per popular demand, we have finally come out with our next new flavor! ChocoBean! Our original flavor, Cinnamon Toasted, and now ChocoBean!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my professional life, I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, I have been working in the medical field since 2017 and specialize in working with geriatrics, post-op orthopedics, spinal cord/brain injuries, Neurological disorders, and in general prevention/maintenance.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy an active lifestyle such as participating in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, weight training, hiking, and anything that gets the heart rate going. I especially enjoy cooking and baking and due to the fact my diet restrictions are eliminating gluten and dairy, the cooking experiments and the pursuit of a healthy style have been a fun challenge.

What I am most proud of is this at the time, my diet restrictions and my so-called “limited choices of foods” has brought me stress and frustration and the sense of “missing out”. However, out of all that, it has brought me Nomad Snacks. Nomad Snacks provides another option to those with limited options.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
My whole life, I have taken many risks. I believe life would be too boring without taking any risks. Of course, taking a properly thought-out risk is best over risks that are sudden and sporadic.

I believe one cannot exceed in life if they continue their safe, stable, and comfortable lifestyles. Is there a time and place for such a simple and stable life? Of course, I need those from time to time, but I would not have been made it to my current life without taking major risks and I’m proud of that.
