Life & Work with Brock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brock .

Brock Francis

Hi Brock, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I reflect on my journey, I realize that who I am and what I do has always been embedded in me. However, in regard to the “beginning”, there are a few pivotal eras to be highlighted. At a young age, being unique has always been my intent. I colored my hair because no one did, I’d layer different patterns in my clothes because no one did, I’d mix metals in my jewelry because no one did, I’ve hosted my own prom because it wasn’t thought of.

Being heavily invested in the fashion and beauty world since birth, it began investing in me (if you will) in 2017. This is when I unintentionally began my content creation/ blogging career. After years of IG sponsorships and brand collaborations while also working 9-5 beauty jobs, I decided I was tired of only living my dream part-time.
Always allowing God to guide me, I moved on when he told me to. I quit my 9-5 with no plan whatsoever. It was then that reality hit, and I had to figure my life out, only to discover that God already did.

After leaving my job in May of 2023, I began getting content creation, marketing, and modeling opportunities out of the blue. God re-directed my life as soon as I decided to let go and trust him fully. I’ve been able to do exactly those things full-time ever since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think one of the main struggles I’ve encountered was shifting my mindset. I’ve been so accustomed to planning everything as much as I possibly could in order to be “prepared” for whatever could be coming next. This has not only taken up so much of my time but has caused me so much stress. And I’m still learning!

However, taking life day by day, remaining grounded, and just discovering everything God has already created for me specifically is such a beautiful journey; and probably my biggest piece of advice. Do what you can, and know that God has given you everything you need for today. Not tomorrow, not five months from now, but today. Don’t rush. Be grateful and enjoy the way up.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of following my dreams; because it is the furthest thing from easy, but it’s so rewarding. Loving life and the people in it. Being a good sister, daughter, friend, and partner I feel is one of the most important aspects of me. To those closest to me, that is essentially what I’m known for.

In another aspect of my life, I am a model and creator. The muse and the artist, so to speak. This is the area where my creativity is heightened and how I pay my bills, haha. Not only creating for myself, but I help businesses find their niche and aesthetic through digital creation while developing plans to help them attract their target online audience.

What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been a soft-spoken extrovert. I never wanted to be the loudest in any room, but my presence, the way I dressed, how I wore my hair, and fashion always kind of captivated people and sparked a lot of curiosity. I know this based off of the amazing, loving, and graceful people & opportunities that I’ve always attracted since a young age.

I’d like to say I was expressive. I absolutely loved having fun spending time with/experiencing life to the fullest with the people I loved. Nothing much has changed there.
