Today we’d like to introduce you to Qween Qweezy.

Qween Qweezy

Hi Qween, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am from New Orleans, and I moved to Atlanta to pursue my music career. I have been performing and making music for almost five years now. So, where I am from my parents are local legends. My dad has a classic hit single called Hustla, Hustla that was made in the 90s and is still being played today, and my mom was the First Lady signed to Cash Money Records. My parents are Dolemite and Ms. Tee. My journey pursuing music has not been an easy one. I have an autoimmune disease by the name of Lupus, which if you know anyone who suffers with Lupus can be incredibly hard. For a long time, I resisted my passion for music because I did not want to be in the shadow of my parents, and I have seen firsthand the struggles of the music industry. However, I could not shake what God embedded in me. Eventually, I started writing music, which led to the burning desire to record.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Hell No!!!!!! Creepy producers, life, jealousy, and lack of resources. I can go on and on. You really have to love what you do to keep going because it is so many factors that will try to stop you or discourage you.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a music artist. I rap and sing. I have been singing since I was a little girl and started rapping around 2019. I specialized in hip-hop.l Also, a subgenre called bounce music that is based in New Orleans but now is worldwide. I am not a one-size-fits-all artist. I’ve created a number of different songs and worked with a number of different artists. I am mostly known for rapping and my parents, especially in the city of New Orleans. I am most proud of the music I am creating now. I am also proud of my story. I am opening more with my supporters (#TEAMQWEEZY) about my life, be it good or bad.

What were you like growing up?
I have always been outgoing and driven. I am super goofy and laugh at almost anything. I was a laid back kid. I have always been super passionate and motivated. I love fashion and dressing up. Singing and dancing. I love working with the youth. I love TikTok videos, self-help books
