Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Brown.
Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Taylor aka Taylor B. A lot of my background has consisted of being a creative at heart and being an entrepreneur within the space of Marketing, entertainment and media. I was raised in Atlanta at a very young age from my hometown Delaware, and have always been immersed in the culture of music and personal branding. With being in it it’s been natural for me to be able to adapt in almost any environment as I saw what it took for people to really go after what they want and hustle for it. My experience with this has been very moderate though as I went to North Atlanta, raised in Buckhead and was always on set in the film industry getting into any background extra work/gigs to not only be apart of productions, but to learn a lot about videography and content production in general.
As you know everyone in Atlanta is a celebrity. we don’t fan girl/fan boy too often when we just walk in Lenox and easily get surprised at seeing a known artist. So being around this environment has been very elevating without me knowing it until I really have traveled elsewhere and people look up to Atlanta for what they see online.
I appreciate being raised in Atlanta so much because it’s really molded me into the person I am today. From style, networking, my hustle and always adding value to any proposition when it comes to working with people.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My current journey right now is actually learning a new life outside of Atlanta. My passion for working with Music, Events, Entertainment and working within marketing on social media campaigns has really inspired me to go global. Whilst spending the last 15 years in Atlanta I grew such a “settled” feeling and lacked inspiration within the community as I started working corporate a bit remotely in this space doing what I love while also traveling. This kind of had me neglecting actually being home and enjoying my experiences of living solo in Buckhead at the point after college. I had a good 3 years experience with this. I knew I wasn’t fulfilled yet in experiencing something different and something was missing with my growth before getting deeply involved into my career and just committing to a remote work. space in the same place of Atlanta. Especially with Atlanta scene being saturated with the artists and people in the know of the music industry there; I knew it was more talent somewhere else.
I started juggling being there and also finding inspiration with traveling. I decided end of last year I wanted to go bigger than what I was doing and experience a different hub of entertainment, talent and culture where in the next 5 years I see it being remarkable for me to add value somewhere else.
Throughout my years of living independently, I explored the UK, France, and London. However, Cape Town, South Africa, completely captivated me with its vibrant music, rich culture, and the revelation of black success and wealth that often goes unnoticed. My experience here has truly a whirlwind, and I could talk endlessly about it. Since then, I’ve committed to residing here full-time for now, immersing myself in learning about this continent, re-educating myself, and forging meaningful connections on a broader scale. I am immensely grateful to maintain my roots in Atlanta while being deeply connected to Cape Town.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am excited to announce I have been working on a global agency focused on social media management and PR that represents talents and personal brands. With just myself along with support of publicists who are also assisting with campaigns based on artists/brand needs, it is definitely a new company and fresh, but I have already taken on clients from the North American market and of course Africa as well.
I’m deeply appreciative of the support I’ve received, and the trust from those I’ve already collaborated with understand the systems I’ve put in place to effectively define their identity, clarify their goals, and empower them to succeed in this industry. You’d be surprised at how much talent exists, yet many individuals are unaware of their full market potential, or lack the understanding of where to begin to engage the right audience or gain recognition for their work. This is what fueled me to execute the brand mission of Elite Muse Management, driven by the desire to inspire individuals to unlock their inner muse and expand their reach on a global scale.
