Meet Okevia Wilson of Its Okevia’s Real Estate Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Okevia Wilson

Hi Okevia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After being in the banking industry for seven years and a mom of three young children, corporate America became a difficult task. The decision to just be a stay at home mom I quickly realized I needed an outlet, an option that would be lucrative and would still allow me the freedom to be a full-time mother. Real Estate was that vehicle. Early in my Real Estate career I was very active on local and state boards, volunteering, and holding positions such as Director, VP, Chair, President and Treasurer. Years later seasons ended in my life and my love for the beauty industry allowed me to opportunity to become the owner of a multicultural hair salon in Grant Park Atlanta all while being a Top Producing Realtor. While juggling motherhood, real estate and owning/managing a salon, I was casted on the 1st reality docu-series about real estate agents called “Selling It in the ATL” that aired one season. Today I am able to just focus on me and servicing my clients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life has definitely not been smooth! Becoming a mother as a teenager forced me to grow up faster than I wanted to. Trying to find my own way and having to consider a child I was very unstable living in different places with family and friends. Also, being divorced after a long-term marriage is like a death that takes you years to recover from.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
