Meet Stella Love of Stella Love Non-Profit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stella Love

Hi Stella, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Stella Love. I grew up in a small village outside Accra, Ghana and I am the youngest of 8 siblings. At a young age, I lost both of my parents and had to constantly face trials and tribulations. I know how it feels like to grow up without a mom or dad. Flashing forward, I am the CEO of Stella Love Non-Profit and Stella Love Publishing. I got into these businesses because I wanted to make a difference in the world. Losing both of my parents, becoming homeless for a period in my life, and being a single mother has not only put me in situations in which I struggled but also allowed me to gain a perspective about the world that some people will not get unless they experience it for themselves. I am most proud of our nonprofit, Stella Love Non-Profit, whose mission is to provide aid to those who are facing serious issues in today’s world such as single parents, the homeless, the youth, children, and low-income families. At Stella Love Non-Profit, we hope to impact more lives by alleviating the burdens that they face daily whether that is with food, financial assistance, or simply having a conversation with them about the things they are going through.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not a smooth road. I went through various financial struggles along the way. Sometimes it got so severe, I was threatened with eviction a few times. I had to receive help from charity organizations such as North Fulton Community Charities as well as from friends. It was a very long process trying to get my Non-Profit started as well. Several legal processes that very long time to complete and needed documents that I had not received yet, so I would have to constantly keep up with everything. It was a hassle trying to keep everything organized.

We’ve been impressed with Stella Love Non-Profit, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Stella Love Non-Profit is an organization that I founded in 2021. What we do is help those who are in desperate need of help. For example, we help the homeless in downtown Atlanta by providing them with food, clothes, and toiletries (basic hygiene necessities) every last Sunday of each month. We also provide groceries to single parents who request help. We have helped people internationally by sending food to countries like the Gambia. We gave school supplies to children in the United States as well as internationally (i.e., Belize). What we are proud of is that we can consistently give people hope and security that they can depend on Stella Love NON-PROFIT whenever they are struggling. In the future, we hope to expand our aid to various states in America. Another plan is to build an orphanage to help children who have no place to go and help them complete their education so they have a chance to make a better life for themselves.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
If it were not for God being my guide, Stella Love Non-Profit would not have been possible to create. With God all things are possible. If I was able to come from a completely different country, to create this non-profit and impact lives, then I know that God can guide anyone who wants to help others to do the same. And anyone who is going through trials and tribulations in life, can put their trust in God and he can deliver them.
