Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Shipp.

Hi justin , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My Story started with an argument with an old boss and me losing my job, I never actually had any interest in doing real estate or (roofing) for that matter but I did always want to be my own boss and make my own rules and not have to answer to anyone. Real Estate has allowed me the freedom and the ability to live life on my terms, my time and more money. If you really want to go back though to the real root of how I ended up where I’m at it is kind of alot of things rolled into the perfect storm to develop me into the person I became to get to where I am. I grew up in a loving home but we grew up financially struggling, I lost my dad when I was 8 lost our home in a house fire before I even turned 9 and watched my mother struggling and suffer. we was lucky to have my stepdad step into the picture but even with both of them working full time jobs I always watched them barely scrape by and I knew I didn’t want that to become my reality when I grew up.
at 16 I started working and by 19 was working 2 full time jobs, from 19 to 26 I pretty much did nothing but work 24/7 worked multiple jobs at a time and did any side work i could to try and get ahead. but fast forward to losing my last full time job and it catapulted me into real estate from a simple fb post asking what I should do next.

I started my real estate journey 9 years ago, with no experience and no help, just a dream and hustle to learn and grow and be the best I can be. my first year in real estate I nearly doubled my salary of my last “job” making 6 figures my first year.
over the last 9 years I have purchased over 400 houses and have worked my way up from not only owning and running a successful flipping company but also opening several other companies that i am not working kn growing and building. kaotic real estate solutions has not only allowed me more time freedom and more money but has allowed me to help hundreds of people over the years with their real estate problems by offering real solutions to the kaotic issues surrounding their situation with their homes. In addition I have been able to make life long friends from clients and other real estate professionals through real estate investing. In addition to owning kaotic real estate solutions, I am also part owner of kaotic fund recovery and kaotic roofing. I love being an entrepreneur and business owner although it does have its ups and downs and mountains of stress I deal with on the regular, I love what I do. I’d say my favorite part is the networking socializing and meeting new people and of course marketing which I kinda think I’m pretty good at. But really it comes down to this one simple truth, you got to have the hustle and mindset to be a business owner and believe in yourself even when nobody else does!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a business owner in general is a roller coaster ride, you are more of a firefighter then anything else in my opinion lol.

I am constantly having to navigate obstacles and put out fires and pivot and adjust as needed. The thing about being a business owner is you have to be able to adapt, adapt to any situation and just go with the flow.

I have had alot of struggles and just like everyone, there has been times when I felt like giving up but I pushed through. I have so many, but I’d say some of the hardest struggles were feeling alone and having to push through with no support at times. And other struggles were just trying to keep deals from falling apart, figuring out solutions to million dollar problem’s , having financing fall through on deals or just crazy things happening like having to evict sqautters, or finding massive hidden issues with houses you bought or contractors or people in general stealing money from you or materials. or both..

never a dull moment being an entrepreneur or business owner lol

I will say the Biggest struggles i have had most frequently throughout my businesses and what i see most entrepreneurs also struggle with is cash flow! your always having to invest or us your cash and I see cash flow issues alot. specially in real estate and roofing when your having to use your money to buy houses, materials and pay labor and wait to get paid.

kaotic real estate solutions -buys distressed homes and renovated them to resell. also builds new homes.

kaotic roofing- commercial and residential roofing services

kaotic fund recovery- assist homeowners that have lost a home to foreclosure by helping them collect surplus/overage funds from the auction sale

I am probably most known for my marketing, specifically videos, we do alot of videos and try to be funny and entertaining and of course consistent. we have tiktok, youtube, Instagram and of course fb and we do post regularly on them all.

what sets kaotic/ me apart is although the money is good, I focus on helping others. even if that means I may not get the deal or may not make the most money, I genuinely want to see people happy and want to see people make it. I am always willing to help others and often put others before myself. it definitely has bit me more times then I can count but I do believe in good karma and believe when you treat people right it will come back 10 fold.

I’m probably most proud of just what I have accomplished coming from nothing, starting from the bottom and creating somethin, I get people messaging me all the time saying they watch my videos and they love them or that they seen me at an event speaking or heard me on a podcast or just saw a post on fb where I was tagged and I honestly get hundreds of messages a week and to know that my company is noticed and recognized and that people are watching me or paying attention is just really cool to me. I am not the smartest person or the most business savvy I just have alot of hustle and determination and I am highly self motivated, couple that with the help from my amazing team, family and friends and it is no wonder kaotic has gotten this far, and plan to go even further.!

I am super excited for the future, kaotic real estate solutions had a super strong couple of years until last year and real estate last year was tough but this year we getting back on track and things are looking pretty good right now. kaotic roofing just keeps growing and getting better too, we have been doing alot of commercial roofing jobs but now it is time to start building and focusing on getting the residential side going strong so we will be hiring for sales reps and other positions in the coming months.

life can be kaotic, but replacing your roof shouldn’t be.

and life can be kaotic (like when you lose your house to foreclosure) but collecting the money your entitled to shouldn’t be lol
