Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Ward.
Hi Destiny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
To think about how I got to where I am right now I will definitely say the word journey will be the word I would use as well because that’s what I was on. I started out being a Model and Actress ever since the age of three and I was doing that for a while until I was like God I need more. I got the wonderful opportunity to be a pharmaceutical rep for a great company for eight years and I enjoyed it because it gave me the opportunity to not only have a job but also to give back and help those in need after that I got into Real Estate, which everyone knows is amazing as well. Now I would say the change was needed for me to focus on me and what I would like to accomplish within myself and that’s when I started my podcast Destiny let’s be honest where we talk about relationships and now in this season I’m talking about different ways where I can help people that’s why I have important guest to talk about different avenues whether it is Real Estate, government contracting And so forth I just really love giving back to my community and this is another way that I found that I can give back while having fun!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, is there a such thing as smooth Road? I have had some ups and downs throughout my journey definitely health wise. I would say at the age of 12 I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and that was a nightmare in his own, but all I can say in the end of all of that, there is a light at the end of the tunnel because I am so in a great place now with my health. I feel like I have experience it all from being blind, paralyzed deaf and not even remembering anything to now being able to walk run jump and enjoy life like nothing ever happened before I give all of that to God..
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a podcast named Destiny Let’s Be Honest that’s what I’m very proud of right now. What sets me apart from others is I’m actually using my platform to help others and help change their lives. As you can see, I’m really passionate about helping people and so this is where I get my biggest glory from is my podcast because I know as everyone’s tune in they’re getting help someway or fashion.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I would say is important to my success will have to be discipline because if you’re not disciplined to go after what you want to achieve, you will fall for anything. You also have to be consistent as well. How you start is how people are going to look at you and expect you to still finish.
