Daily Inspiration: Meet Valentina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina.

Hi Valentina , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a Latina, business owner, actor, and voiceover artist, I’m honored to be the curator of the Spanish program at VoAtlanta, the largest voiceover conference in the world. My mission is to preserve and share valuable content, drive innovation, and elevate talent, showcasing the true potential of our industry to new talents worldwide who join us every March at VoAtlanta.

It’s a privilege to impact the voiceover industry and empower the next generation of talent.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been worth it. When I started curating the Spanish program at VoAtlanta 4 years ago, it was on the brink of collapse. I had to put in a lot of effort to create dynamic content and showcase the value of Hispanic talents in the industry.

It was a challenge, but seeing the impact and growth now makes it all worth it. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and the opportunities we’ve created for Latinx voiceover artists.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Valentina Latyna, is a Colombian/American award-winning Actress & Voiceover Artist. She’s slated for the 2025 live-action film “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado” (as Sabrina) and the Netflix miniseries “Griselda.” A two-time SOVAS Award winner and 13-time nominee, her voice credits span “Poker Face,” “The Bold & the Beautiful”, “Tuca & Bertie,” and “Bojack Horseman.” Valentina also earned Best Lead Actress for “Defenseless”

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk can be scary, but it’s often necessary for growth and progress.
Risk-taking, has been crucial in my journey. When I started curating the Spanish program at VoAtlanta, I took a major risk by creating content that wasn’t widely demanded at the time. I recall immigrating 15 years ago and realizing there were no conferences or resources for Latinx voiceover artists like myself.

I put everything on the table, investing time and effort into building a program that would cater to our community’s needs. It was a risk, but it’s paid off. Seeing the growth and impact of VoAtlanta’s Spanish program makes me proud and encourages me to continue innovating and pushing boundaries.
