Life & Work with Laura Marie of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Marie.

Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Meet Laura Marie: The Powerhouse Behind Organically Organized, Atlanta’s Professional Organizer!

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA with strong Italian roots, Laura Marie is a dynamic force blending corporate excellence with entrepreneurial passion. A proud graduate of West Virginia University, Laura began her career in high-end luxury retail management in South Florida, where she honed her eye for detail, precision, and exceptional client care.

Now based in Atlanta—affectionately known as “HOTlanta”—Laura has spent over a decade thriving in the fast-paced world of transportation, logistics, and global sales. With a résumé that includes powerhouse brands like Tesla, Porsche North America, DAHER Aerospace, and DB Schenker, she has developed a sharp business acumen and a results-driven approach that continues to fuel her success.

But Laura’s proudest role is being a mother to her beautiful daughter, whom she lovingly calls her greatest accomplishment. As a devoted “MOMager,” she actively supports her daughter’s modeling career and busy schedule of extracurriculars, balancing it all with grace and grit.

In addition to her corporate career, Laura is the founder of Organically Organized, a professional organizing company that transforms chaos into clarity for clients across Atlanta. Specializing in full turnkey home moves, packing and unpacking services, and custom organization for everything from luxury closets to pantries and garages, Laura brings a therapeutic touch to her work. Her mission is simple but powerful: to create peaceful, functional spaces that allow her clients to thrive.

“I believe that outer order contributes to inner peace,” Laura shares. “Organizing isn’t just about things—it’s about how we feel in our environment, and how we function in our daily lives.”

When she’s not closing deals or organizing dream spaces, Laura enjoys traveling, fine dining, sporting events (Go Steelers!), and immersing herself in different cultures. Through it all, she remains committed to discipline, consistency, and building a life—and a business—rooted in passion and purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges—and sources of pride—has been balancing it all: being a business owner, working full-time as a sales executive, and being a dedicated MOMager to a beautiful baby girl. Life doesn’t slow down—it throws curveballs, moves fast, and demands constant adjustment. But through it all, I’ve remained grounded in discipline, driven by dedication, and focused on scaling my business.

There may be competition in the market, but no one can outwork a combination of true talent and relentless effort. When you stay committed to creating real results, that’s what sets you apart—consistently and undeniably!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

Outside of my personal organization business, I am a Senior Freight Forwarding Global Ocean Business Development Manager, specializing in helping Georgia-based companies import and export containers all over the world. With over 14 years of experience in sales, I’ve built a strong foundation in listening to clients’ needs and delivering tailored, effective solutions.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to provide strategic support within the global supply chain—connecting businesses with the tools and partners they need to move products efficiently and compliantly across international borders.

What sets me apart is my consultative approach. I don’t just sell a service—I act as an expert and partner, offering insight, guidance, and multiple options that align with each client’s goals. Success in sales isn’t just about closing deals; it’s about building relationships, solving problems, and earning trust through expertise.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My biggest advice for finding a mentor or networking effectively is to always put yourself in rooms where people are doing better than you—where they have more experience, knowledge, and skin in the game. Growth happens when you surround yourself with those who challenge you to level up.

What has worked well for me is leading with passion, staying disciplined, and being open to receiving feedback and advice. I’ve learned the most by listening, asking thoughtful questions, and being willing to learn from others who have walked the path before me.
