Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Bowe.
Hi Isaiah , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my small business of designing shoes at the age of 11 while growing up in Queens, New York and continued when I moved down to Atlanta. My business really didn’t start getting recognized until I continued designing sneakers for my past highschool classmates here in Georgia. Now I am 27 years old and still growing my business while also being an professional artist for a shoe company called Sneakerdoodle.co of Atlanta and I help teach customers and painters to create their own personal custom sneakers and I very much enjoy what I do and will grow even more in the future.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was and still is a long road full of ups and downs but the experience and the journey is priceless! Through the years of a lot of long days and nights with little to no recognition or any type of pay and not to mention countless of mistakes, I would say that I don’t regret the journey at all!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a custom sneaker artist I mainly specialize in hand drawing sketching, graffiti designs, spray painting, and also portraits. My special set of designs that sets apart from other designs is my “Splattered Art” and a lot of my customers love the splattered style!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Traveling and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy learning and experiencing different places, things, and people.
