Hidden Gems: Meet Stephanie Velazquez of Encanto Moments Photo Booth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Velazquez.

Stephanie Velazquez

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For years, I worked in the healthcare field. I genuinely love working one-on-one with patients, supporting them through their visits, and being part of their care journey. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to do forever. There was always this pull toward something more creative something of my own. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, the desire to start my own business was always there. I just didn’t know what that business would be. I started exploring different avenues within the wedding and event industry. One week I was intrigued by photography, the next by mobile bartending. I was constantly brainstorming and researching, waiting for something to truly click. That’s when I stumbled across the photo booth industry and it instantly grabbed my attention. I loved the idea of bringing joy and interactive fun to weddings and celebrations. It felt right. So, I took a leap of faith. I picked up a second job, saved every dollar I could, and eventually invested in my first photo booth setup.
Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What started as a spark of curiosity has grown into something meaningful. Through this journey, I’ve connected with so many incredible people, fellow business owners, and clients who remind me every day why I chose this path. This is just the beginning, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has definitely come with its fair share of highs and lows. One of the biggest challenges in the beginning was stepping into an industry I knew absolutely nothing about with no connections and no real roadmap. The first 3 to 5 months were by far the hardest. I’ll admit, I went into it thinking bookings would come quickly and everything would just fall into place. I was in for a reality check. I also struggled with imposter syndrome, constantly second guessing myself, overthinking every little detail. That mindset can be tough to navigate, especially when you’re trying to build something from the ground up. There were plenty of moments when I felt like giving up entirely. But I’m so glad I didn’t. Instead, I used that time to learn. I volunteered for free events, took every opportunity to observe, and started connecting with other business owners who had been in the wedding world much longer than me. Their encouragement, advice, and support helped me silence the self doubt and grow both personally and professionally. It’s been a process, but I’ve come out stronger, more confident, and more passionate than ever about what I do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I’m most proud of how far the brand has come in such a short time. Encanto Moments was built from the ground up with passion, intention, and a commitment to excellence. Every booking, every smiling guest, every glowing review, it all means the world to me.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that when they book with Encanto Moments, they’re not just getting a photo booth, they’re getting a personalized, joy-filled experience that leaves lasting memories long after the flash goes off.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that might surprise people who know me through Encanto Moments is that I also work as a day-of wedding coordinator at Spring Haus Farm. The owners, Ginger and Paul, saw something in me early on and generously offered to mentor me and teach me the ins and outs of the wedding industry from a coordinator’s perspective. It’s been such an unexpected but incredible opportunity that has not only expanded my knowledge, but also made me a better business owner overall. Being behind the scenes in that way has helped me truly understand what it takes to run a seamless event. It’s given me a deeper appreciation for timelines, vendor collaboration, and all the moving parts that go into a wedding day. I carry that experience into my photo booth business too, bringing a calm, professional, and detail oriented approach to every event I’m part of.
