Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahmarhi Hubbard.
Hi Ahmarhi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Ahmarhi Hubbard, the founder and CEO of IdolLink, a fan-to-idol platform built to create a new kind of connection one that’s safe, soft, and meaningful for both fans and the idols they love. I was born and raised in DeKalb County and South Fulton, Georgia, where I learned early on how to lead, protect, and care for others even when I was hurting myself. Those experiences shaped how I show up as a founder now: with heart, hustle, and purpose.
IdolLink started from a deep love for music, storytelling, and the peace that idols bring into people’s lives. But I also saw the darker side of fandom the pressure, the toxicity, the disconnection behind the scenes. I wanted to build a space where idols could truly be themselves and fans could feel safe, supported, and inspired. So I created IdolLink as a platform that offers live rooms, behind-the-scenes content, language bubbles, anonymous message boards, and more all designed to nurture real connection, not just content.
But IdolLink is more than just an app. It’s evolving into a full creative ecosystem and soon, a supportive agency alternative where idols can host their own shows, connect with fans on their own terms, and have long, joyful careers without being controlled or erased. I want to give idols the tools, safety, and freedom to shine especially independent or underrepresented voices.
Some of my biggest inspirations are aespa (especially Winter) and Thai GL stars like Namtan and Film, Englot (Engfa and Charlotte), and Faye Malisorn. I dream of collaborating with companies like SM Entertainment, GMMTV, CH3, and creators who lead with authenticity and heart. My goal is to grow IdolLink into a creative powerhouse a place where idols can thrive with or without a traditional agency, and where fans become part of something bigger than just a trend.
IdolLink was built from survival, but it’s powered by softness, strategy, and soul. I’m not just here to run an app I’m here to create a movement and rewrite the rules of this industry.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Like any startup journey, it’s come with its fair share of setbacks, learning curves, and moments where things didn’t go as planned.
One of the biggest challenges was not making it to the final round of the K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) a global accelerator in South Korea I applied to because I believed IdolLink could truly thrive in that market. Getting through the first round was validating, but falling short in the next reminded me how competitive and unpredictable this space can be. It was disappointing, but it also pushed me to sharpen my pitch, tighten my vision, and keep building with or without outside approval.
Aside from that, building a platform from scratch without a big team, funding, or existing industry connections takes grit. Every feature, every outreach email, every small win has been earned step by step. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s taught me resilience, patience, and clarity.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As the CEO of IdolLink, I do much more than run a fan-to-idol platform I’m building a safe, supportive ecosystem that empowers idols mentally, emotionally, and professionally. Whether idols need extra funding, career support, or simply a backup agency to lean on when their current path feels uncertain, IdolLink provides that strong foundation. My role is to help them thrive not only as performers but as whole people, with access to tools and spaces where they can truly be themselves.
What started as a digital home is growing rapidly my vision is for IdolLink to become a physical agency presence in Korea, Thailand, and the USA, creating realworld support systems for idols and artists. This will be a place where creators can build long lasting, sustainable careers free from toxicity and industry pressure.
I specialize in bridging technology with emotional safety and community, understanding both fans’ desires and idols’ challenges. I’m currently balancing this work while pursuing a nursing degree, with plans to graduate in 2026. To me, whether I’m caring for patients or nurturing artists, my mission is the same: to provide safety, healing, and hope.
I’m most proud of building IdolLink from the ground up without major funding or industry backing on vision, resilience, and heart. Even before launching fully, the mission is resonating deeply, offering a space focused on longevity, inclusion, and mental wellness.
What sets me apart is that this is not about fan obsession or being a money hungry CEO. It’s rooted in genuine respect, care, and responsibility for the artists and communities I serve. I’m committed to building lasting bonds, not chasing trends creating a safe digital and physical home where idols and fans can thrive together.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is Christmas and it wasn’t just the gifts or the decorations, but the feeling of magic and togetherness that wrapped around us every year. We’d spend days decorating the house, turning it into a sparkling wonderland where joy was the only rule. The air was always filled with laughter as we went Christmas shopping, and those moments felt like pure happiness captured in time.
Every Christmas Eve, we’d have cozy movie nights, cuddled up and sharing stories and dreams. Then, before dawn on Christmas morning, I’d wake up early with excitement rushing through me, racing downstairs to find the tree overflowing with toys not just any toys, but ones that spoke to my heart: musical instruments because music was my soul, paints because art was my language.
But more than the presents, it was the feeling of family a real, unbreakable bond like the ones in those Hallmark movies. That love, that warmth, that sense of belonging it’s a light I carry with me every day, reminding me what home truly means.
