Life & Work with Brittany Ward of Powder Springs, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Ward.

Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started with a passion for skincare and a desire to create a space where people could feel truly seen and cared for. After becoming a licensed esthetician and permanent makeup artist, I quickly realized how impersonal the beauty industry can be and I wanted to offer something more intentional, more personalized.

I launched Miona Naturals LLC from scratch with minimal resources, offering services in a small studio and focusing on quality over everything. From the beginning, I prioritized education, connection, and long-term results. I took the time to understand my clients’ goals and concerns, building trust through consistency and care. Over the years, I’ve grown my business through word of mouth and dedication to service. I’ve expanded my offerings to include permanent makeup and am now preparing to launch a skincare line.

Today, I’m entering a new chapter—downsizing into a thoughtfully chosen studio space that aligns with the next phase of my business. It’s efficient, peaceful, and allows me to continue offering high-quality service while building something sustainable and lasting.

My story is still unfolding. I am proud of what I’ve built and excited for what’s ahead.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am very thankful to say that I have not faced any hardships in building my business. I have, however, faced several challenges as a small business owner, especially as a black woman, with limited access to funding, mentorship and resources. I am completely self-funded. I’ve had to work with minimal equipment, in small spaces and had very little margin for error. Every step of growth required sacrifice, discipline and creativity. Balancing entrepreneurship with personal life has also required a lot of emotional resilience. Outside of being a business owner, I am a wife and mother to 3 boys. There were moments in my journey when business was slow, and I questioned whether I could keep going. I’ve learned to use every setback as fuel. With every obstacle, I was able to refine my vision, strengthen my systems and deepen my connection to the people I serve. I remain committed to my purpose. I continue to grow with integrity and I am very proud of how far I’ve come.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed esthetician and permanent makeup artist and I am the founder of Miona Naturals LLC – a beauty business that focuses on personalized skincare, natural brow enhancements and holistic product development. I specialize in results-driven facials, brow shaping, and ombré powder brows that enhance natural features while promoting long-term skin health.

I’m known for my attention to detail, my calming approach and the way I tailor each appointment to the individual. Clients come to me not just for great results, but for a thoughtful, welcoming experience. Many of my clients say they feel instantly at ease in my space and that’s something I’m really proud of. I’ve created an environment where people can relax, ask questions, and receive care that’s actually made for them.

What sets me apart is the intention behind everything I do. Whether it’s the layout of my studio, the ingredients in my skincare line, or the services I offer, nothing is random. I focus on education, transparency and creating lasting relationships with my clients, not quick fixes.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come building this business on my own. From starting with limited resources to now preparing to launch my own skincare line and open a new studio space. It’s all been built with care and consistency. I’ve been able to grow while staying true to my vision, and that means everything to me.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’ve had the support of some truly incredible people throughout my journey, and I absolutely wouldn’t be where I am without them.

First and foremost, my clients deserve so much credit. Many have been with me since the early days when I was just getting started and building everything from the ground up. Their loyalty, referrals and feedback have been the driving force behind my growth. They’ve trusted me with their skin, their stories, and their time.

I’m also grateful for close friends and family who have encouraged me through every phase of this journey. From helping me paint and set up studio spaces, to reminding me to keep going during slow seasons, their support has been both emotional and practical. They’ve celebrated my wins, listened during setbacks, and pushed me when I needed it most.
