An Inspired Chat with Angel Simone of Atlanta

Angel Simone shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Angel, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of helping people quietly make progress the kind nobody else sees. Like someone finally doing something they thought was hard , starting a journal, or learning something they never thought they could understand. There’s no applause, or no spotlight just them showing up for themselves. Something I’m still learning myself And no one sees me in that moment either. But that’s kind of the point.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi I’m Angel Simone a model with a deep love for storytelling through style. For me, modeling isn’t just about wearing clothes it’s about embodying energy, mood, and movement to bring a designer’s vision to life. I’ve had the opportunity to work with different brands , stylist and companies doing hair shots, and editorial,I recently had my first runway experience, walking in NYFW. I’m constantly inspired by the power of fashion to challenge my norms, celebrate identity, and connect with people across cultures.

What makes my journey unique is my focus on authenticity and intention. Whether I’m walking the runway or creating content behind the scenes, I’m passionate about representing realness in an industry that’s always evolving. I bring not just a look, but also a mindset one that values collaboration, creativity, and confidence.

Fashion is my medium, but impacting the world with my ideas is my mission.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment I went to New York really changed the way I saw things. For the first time, I was surrounded by people who looked like me — natural bodies, individuality, confidence without needing to fit into one mold. Coming from Atlanta, where there’s a heavy focus on a certain beauty standard — especially with so many people getting BBLs — it felt refreshing and empowering to be in a space where being natural wasn’t just accepted, it was celebrated. It reminded me that beauty isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that there’s so much power in just showing up as your real self.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to stay focused, stay obedient, and trust God — fully. His plans are always greater than your own. Don’t get caught up trying to control everything or figure it all out. Lean not on your own understanding, because what’s meant for you will unfold exactly how and when it’s supposed to. Just keep going, keep praying, and stay grounded.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d say I care deeply about my kids, my relationship with God, fashion, and love. I’m a genuinely loving person, so it’s not just about romance — it’s about the people I hold close. I value connection, loyalty, and making sure the people I care about feel seen, supported, and loved. That, plus a good outfit — that’s everything to me.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What light inside you have you been dimming?
My potential. I’ve been sleeping on myself for a while — playing small, second-guessing my gifts, and holding back when I should’ve been shining. But I’m waking up now. That light is still there, and it’s time to let it shine unapologetically.
