Neisha Leigh of Atlanta on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Neisha Leigh. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Neisha , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
For the last year being a parent outside of work brings me joy. I wake up daily with a constant reminder, that I have someone looking up to me. My most greatest accomplishment in life, is being her mother.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Neisha Leigh. I was introduced to the world as the owner of Love Leigh Touch. Over a decade I have been a well known esthetician and spa owner. With all my success in the beauty industry, I seemed to had neglected my first true love. My first true love being Art. Since grade school I excelled in the arts. Over the last few years I have been apart of art events, and even organized my own galleries. Currently I am working on new pieces and directing all my attention on art.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I have always stood out. I was the child that was unique. In my younger years I refrained from being different. A moment I recall being the only child in class to use green scissors. Green ment the child was left handed. I then would go home to train myself to be right handed, to be like the other kids. As I grew, I began accepting that being different was actually quite amazing. No longer needing to blend in, I find strength in my unparalled presence.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
When I became a mother my vision became blurry, as all I could think about is being a mother. A career I was so passionate about, no longer was the structure of my life. I often changed my mind about my career path. Deciding to dedicate my time to art instead of the business that I was known for, was very scary. I’ve decided to follow my heart and let my art take me into my next chapter.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends will say that ” my peace” , really matters to me. I have no ties to any person that will disrupt my peace. I’ll immediately remove myself from any relationship that does so.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
I believe my biggest regret in life would be not pursuing a career that gives me purpose and happiness. Although my beauty business made me happy, I began to feel I was chasing money and not happiness. My art business gives me both.
