Inspiring Conversations with Kimisha Wallace-Hall of Drip Boutique LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimisha Wallace-Hall.

Hi Kimisha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I launched Drip Boutique back in February of 2020. Previously I owned and operated a bakery (Posh Sugar LLC) and wanted a change from this industry. I started researching the boutique industry as I have a love for fashion for both myself and my children and thought this would be a good field to branch into and operate. I wanted to do something that I would enjoy and not feel like “work”. Prior to opening in 2020, I spent well over a year learning as much as I could (i.e where to source products, the ups and downs that other boutique owners faced, the pro and cons from a customer point of view). My goal was to open a company that made women feel good and had a good experience to shop overall. Fast forward to recent times, I’ve learned that input equals output; meaning the more I pour into my business the more success I see.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The first few years were very smooth. I believe this came from all of the research I did prior to launching the website. Literally from day one, my boutique felt like it had been in operation for years. From an easy to navigate website on the customer side (and back-end), to fast order processing and shipping, to nice packaging – everything has been easy for me to run. The challenge I face more recently has just come down to time management (family & working full time as well). While customers see what is placed on the website, it takes a lot of time to research vendors, find quality items, tag and inventory, etc. I also model my clothing, so finding time to have a day to do a photoshoot has become something I noticed I put on the back burner. This has become a challenge because in this industry, you don’t want to become “forgotten”, you also want to stay ahead of trends and ensure you are relevant for customers to continue to shop.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Drip Boutique LLC?
My company, Drip Boutique is an online boutique that sells women’s clothing. We offer a variety of pieces from tops, bottoms, sets, jumpsuits, etc. I would say that we are most known for our fast order processing and top notch customer service which definitely sets us apart. I think the feedback we get the most is from ladies who are happy to receive their orders in just a few days. As I mentioned, fast order processing is something that sets us apart. However, we also stand out by being a boutique that offers clothing from small to 3x which is something we found that women were looking for when shopping online. Most online boutiques sell items from Small to Large. Brand wise, I’m just proud of how we’ve operated from the very start. To see something come from just an idea and grow into a trusted brand is something that makes me very proud. It’s nice to see repeat customers who come back time after time and truly believe in our brand. For your readers, I’d like them to know that while we are solely online, we are a brand that they can trust and feel confident in knowing they are receiving quality items. We care about customers from the time they click on our website, to the time they receive their order and even as they’re out wearing our clothing at their special events. We offer same day order processing to all customers who place an order Monday – Friday before 12p EST.
