Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Yerger.
Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sarah Yerger Interiors
Ive been a full time Interior Designer for over a decade and focus on mostly luxury residential remodels and new construction. My business went through the roof during the pandemic and hasn’t slowed down. I’m so so fortunate to work with a team of contractors who I trust immensely and also call my friends.
Today, 90% of my work takes place within the exclusive Reynolds Lake Oconee community, where the luxury lifestyle meets Southern charm. As a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), I’ve built my reputation on something that sounds simple but proves remarkably rare in this field: truly listening to my clients.
My goal is NOT to do what I want, but to make my client’s dreams come true.. to tell their story. My job is bringing their style to life and to keep it pretty. I believe your home should represent you, your family and your lifestyle.. not to be a carbon copy of your neighbor’s house.
I also want my clients to feel at ease and to never feel pressured to do something they aren’t comfortable with. It’s so important to me to be down to earth, to bring nature inside when possible, to design around your fur babies and kiddos–and not feel intimidated when working together. I love to laugh with my clients and hope to make the process as stress free as possible. “Keep it Pretty” is my slogan- but that means so much more than “the look”.. it means having fun, being tasteful, respectful and having confidence in what makes “you and your home” you…
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am fortunate to say it has been a smooth road overall.. but on a day to day basis- whether you are remodeling or building a new home- there are always hurdles to tackle. Timelines, deadlines, budgets, HOA rules, etc. Juggling home life and personal time with a full time job in this arena is probably the most challenging because this work can be all consuming. It can be late nights, early mornings, and weekends so it’s important to find balance.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I answered most of that in a previous question…..I’m a full time Interior Designer. I’m a member of ASID.. I was a winner of Best of MODERN
LUXURY DESIGN 2025. I’ve also been a Best of HOUZZ winner 6 years in a row. I am the sole owner of my company and have really focused on listening to my clients- making their style come to life, not mine. My slogan “Keep it Pretty” with Sarah Yerger is somewhat well know in my area. I focus on new construction and remodeling. I truly love bringing older homes back to life. Making my clients happy is such a joy- I feel truly truly blessed and thankful for everything this career has brought. Each time I start working on a home, it feels like the first time. It has never gotten old or unappreciated. It’s a gem each time!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Always be grateful for the people who open doors for you. None of us have gotten anywhere by ourselves. And in return, we need to open the doors and opportunities for the younger people entering the profession.
