Hi Sarah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Everything started in 2019 when, after some heat damage, I decided to do my second big chop. That moment became a turning point, it pushed me to truly learn about my curls, care for them, and embrace my natural hair. I started experimenting with different products, watching curly hair routines on YouTube, and spending hours perfecting styles that made me feel confident and beautiful. Over time, my curiosity and self-care routine grew into a deep passion.
In 2023 I started working at a Natural Hair Salon, which allowed me to grow my skills and gain hands-on experience with all types of curls and coils. By 2024, I took a leap of faith and started working independently—and I’ve been doing it ever since.
Today, as a natural hairstylist based in Mableton, Georgia, I specialize in helping women understand and love their natural hair. My mission is to highlight the beauty of curls—their volume, stretch, and individuality—while teaching clients how to maintain moisture, health, and confidence in their coils.
Because I’ve lived the same struggles many women face on their natural hair journey, I bring empathy, expertise, and genuine passion to every client I serve. For me, natural hair isn’t just a style, it’s a form of self-expression, strength, and beauty.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. There have been ups and downs, especially when I decided to branch out and start on my own. In the beginning, there were slow seasons, moments of uncertainty, and times when I questioned if I was doing the right thing. Building a client base and managing everything—from scheduling to marketing—was a learning experience.
But every challenge taught me something valuable. Those slower moments gave me time to grow my skills, refine my techniques, and understand my clients’ needs better. Looking back, I’m grateful for the process because it made me stronger, more patient, and more dedicated to my craft.

My focus is on healthy hair practices that enhance and celebrate the natural beauty of coils, curls, and waves. I provide personalized services including curl shaping, natural hair treatments, protective styles, and hair growth guidance tailored to each client’s unique texture and goals. My mission is to empower clients to embrace their natural hair with confidence, while offering a salon experience that is professional, nurturing, and results.
