Life & Work with Trevon Hendley of Atlanta Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevon Hendley.

Hi Trevon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story began when I joined the US Army (Reserves) when I was 17 years old in 2016, as a Combat Documentation Specialist (now titled Visual Information Specialist). That’s where I learned photojournalism, studio photography, video production and many more skills. I’ve been all over the US documenting various military exercises, ceremonies, and missions. I’ve also been to the Cuba serving in Operation Enduring Freedom and the Philippines.

I then came back and went into law enforcement in 2021, where I was able to experience things from a different perspective and grow as a human, seeing some of societies worst and best. I ended up meeting my wife while in law enforcement and now I have two beautiful kids (son and daughter). Due to a plethora of events, I recently left law enforcement to pursue my love and passion for creating media and in hopes of one day producing my own movies, shows, commercials , etc and maybe even being a household name like Warner Bros. That’s when my two brothers and I came together to create Hendley Digital which is based in the metro Atlanta area. We all are creatives at heart due to our creative parents and all have dreams of creating an empire when it comes to this business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in this life worth fighting for will ever be easy. I’ve had two bad accidents during my time as a police officer to the point I have bad back pain and it makes it hard to do many things a 26 year old should be able to do. Not to mention the “plethora of events” I mentioned in the last section, finances haven’t always been the greatest. But I am a man of faith and I strongly believe with God on my side and trusting in Him I can get through any hardship. A quote I try to live by is from a gospel tune from the group Commissioned “Cry On” and it goes like this: “Without test and trials, you won’t experience real joy, oh no. Gold without fire, will never be true gold. And without patience you will never know that God can bring you through.” Those words resonate with me daily even with something small like reaching a milestone at physical therapy for my back pain.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am still currently in the US Army Reserves as a Senior Visual Information Specialist, which means my job is lead teams of soldiers on various mission across the globe as Visual Information Specialist and capture history through the lens. Anything ranging from land navigation to large scale combat training exercises or even real combat! We capture it all. On the civilian side I currently run with my brothers our Photography/Videography business, Hendley Digital. We get professional content for any client, whether it is birthday photos, real estate videos, branding, wedding coverage or if someone has a creative idea, we strive to make it happen.

How do you define success?
Success to me would be defined as completing a specific task you set out to no matter how tough it gets.
