Story & Lesson Highlights with Nadia Galloway of Atlanta

Nadia Galloway shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Nadia, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building is my resilience — the part of me that no one sees but everyone feels in my work. Behind every patent, pitch, and product is a woman who refused to quit when life said stop.
People see the success stories, the awards, and the headlines, but they don’t see the countless nights I prayed through uncertainty, restructured companies, and rebuilt my confidence after loss. They don’t see the inner discipline it takes to keep believing when the dream feels delayed.
I’ve built companies, brands, and schools — but the thing I’m most proud of building is the woman I had to become to sustain them.
That quiet, unshakable foundation of faith, perseverance, and purpose — that’s the real blueprint behind everything I’ve ever created.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I always say I didn’t just dream about creating solutions — I built them. My journey started as a mom on a mission to make life safer and more comfortable for families like mine. When my daughter was little, I invented PillowSheets™, a patented bedding system that integrates pillow technology directly into fitted sheets. It was born out of necessity and fueled by purpose — to bring comfort, safety, and dignity to patients, parents, and caregivers worldwide.
That idea evolved into an international medical innovation, earning FDA, MHRA, and Medicare approval, and expanding globally through PillowSheets™ UK and MedTech Suites — our healthcare brand delivering comfort and care across hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and home health networks.
As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that sometimes your biggest pain points birth your greatest innovations. That same creative spirit led to The Cooler Jacket™, a wearable cooler jacket that merges fashion, function, and freedom — designed for athletes, parents, and outdoor enthusiasts — now in its pre-launch phase.
Beyond invention, I’m also the Co-Founder of The Benjamin Preparatory School, a preparatory institution designed to prepare students for the world’s stage — cultivating excellence, leadership, and purpose in every young scholar.
And while I’m proud of my companies and creations, my greatest accomplishment will always be being a mother of two incredible children — a boy and a girl — both athletes who keep me running in circles and smiling every step of the way. My son, affectionately known as “Big Ben,” is a student-athlete and football player at Georgia Tech, proudly carrying forward a legacy of leadership, faith, and perseverance both on and off the field. My daughter already shines with her own spark for basketball, service, creativity, and community. They’re my daily reminder that legacy starts at home.
Along the way, I’ve been honored to have my business recognized as one of Pepperdine University’s Most Fundable Companies of America and to win Fox Business Network’s “Billion Dollar Idea.” Every milestone has been a reminder that purpose and perseverance truly pay off.
And it’s funny — I like to say I close my biggest deals in the bed! After all, that’s where PillowSheets™ was born. Today, our products can be found in major retail stores such as Target Corporation, where I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a speaker and consultant for brands in their accelerator programs — helping entrepreneurs pitch with confidence, refine their stories, and make their best first impression with buyers.
In addition, I’ve become passionate about motivational speaking — inspiring audiences at organizations such as Entrepreneurs’ Organization, colleges, and business communities nationwide. I speak about the entrepreneurial journey — the detours, the delays, and the doubts — but ultimately, how it’s the final destination that makes the arrival mean the most.
My story is one of faith, resilience, and reinvention. Purpose doesn’t die when circumstances change — it evolves. And I’m still evolving, one dream at a time.

PillowSheets™ / MedTech Suites
PillowSheets™ revolutionized therapeutic bedding by integrating pillow technology directly into fitted sheets — reducing pressure injuries, improving patient comfort, and saving caregivers valuable time. With approvals from FDA, Medicare, and MHRA, we’ve expanded globally through MedTech Suites UK, partnering with hospitals and care facilities to deliver comfort with care. Our motto: “Covered in Comfort & Care.”
The Cooler Jacket™ (Pre-Launch)
The Cooler Jacket is our newest innovation — a pre-launch wearable technology brand that merges fashion, function, and freedom. It’s the first patented jacket and vest with built-in insulated cooler compartments, designed for athletes, parents, and outdoor enthusiasts who want to keep beverages or essentials cool and close while on the move.
We’re currently in the pre-launch phase, preparing for partnerships, licensing opportunities, and production. Our tagline captures the spirit perfectly: “Built to Chill. Worn to Win.”
Both brands were created to solve real problems with intelligent design and human purpose — where innovation meets impact.
5. What do you want people to remember about your journey?
That dreams don’t expire — they evolve.
I want people to see that no matter how life changes, your purpose remains. Challenges, transitions, and unexpected turns are all part of the story — but they don’t define the ending.
Anyone with a dream can build something extraordinary when faith, focus, and resilience lead the way.
I believe every dreamer has a divine assignment. Mine is to innovate with impact — and inspire others to do the same.
Maybe that’s why they call it a destination — because every journey, every pause, and every redirection still leads us to our destiny. The route may shift, the timing may surprise us, but the vision remains the same. Every step — even the uncertain ones — is a divine detour preparing us for purpose.
So may we never stop dreaming. May we always keep our eyes on the destination, even when the path bends. And may we remember that destiny doesn’t disappear it simply waits for our faith to catch up.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Audacious dreamer — touched with ADD, driven by curiosity, and never one to sit still. I felt purpose before I ever found it.
Even as a child, I was always creating something — new ideas, new solutions, new ways to make things better. I didn’t know it at the time, but that restless energy was entrepreneurship in motion. While others colored inside the lines, I was busy sketching the picture beyond the page.
I’ve always believed that purpose leaves clues early. For me, it was in that desire to build, lead, and imagine life differently. That spirit never went away — it just grew bolder with time. And every innovation I’ve launched since has been an extension of that same little girl who dreamed audaciously and refused to shrink to fit the world’s expectations.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that strength isn’t built in celebration — it’s built in silence. It’s in those quiet, unseen moments when you’re forced to rebuild yourself piece by piece that you discover who you really are.
Success can validate you, but suffering refines you. It teaches humility, compassion, and an unshakable faith that no accomplishment ever could.
I’ve learned that purpose doesn’t promise ease — it promises evolution. Every heartbreak, every setback, every sleepless night became the foundation for something greater. It taught me to lead with empathy, to see people beyond their titles, and to find beauty in the becoming.
Suffering gave me the kind of peace that success can’t buy — the peace of knowing that no matter what happens, I can rise again.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. The public version of me is the real me — it’s just the polished reflection of the same woman who prays, perseveres, and keeps pushing behind the scenes.
What people see publicly — the energy, the faith, the drive, the confidence — those aren’t curated qualities. They’re earned ones. They were shaped through moments of struggle, self-doubt, and surrender, then refined by purpose.
I’ve stood on stages in Silicon Valley, presented alongside innovators and investors, and even appeared on reality TV shows that gave the world a glimpse into the passion behind my work. But whether I’m on camera, in a boardroom, or mentoring a founder, I show up as me. The same faith-driven, audacious dreamer who started with an idea and a prayer.
I don’t believe in separating who you are from what you do. The titles — inventor, entrepreneur, speaker — are extensions of my calling, not my costume.
Authenticity isn’t just a brand for me. It’s my baseline.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I laid everything down — the titles, the roles, the companies, the recognition — what would remain is love, faith, and legacy.
The love I poured into my children, my community, and every person my inventions have touched. The faith that carried me through seasons of uncertainty and helped me build when there was no blueprint. And the legacy of possibility — proof that a dreamer can come from anywhere, face anything, and still rise.
My name may fade, but the impact will echo. It will live on through my children, through every patient who rests easier because of PillowSheets™, through every entrepreneur who dares to believe they can create something out of nothing.
At the end of it all, what remains is not what I built with my hands, but what I inspired with my heart. I believe every dreamer has a divine assignment.
Mine is to innovate with impact — and inspire others to do the same.
To turn vision into ventures, purpose into progress, and ideas into influence.
Because dreaming isn’t just imagining what could be — it’s building it.
It’s daring to believe that one idea can change lives, shift industries, and shape generations. So keep dreaming. Keep building. Keep believing. The world needs what only your imagination can create.
