An Inspired Chat with Adrienne DeMedici of North ATL

We recently had the chance to connect with Adrienne DeMedici and have shared our conversation below.

Adrienne, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings are my foundation. I’m up early , usually between 4-5am. I like that quiet time before the chaos of texts, calls, and emails. I use that time to get a workout in, and mentally prep for the day. I check in with myself before I check in with the world. That little window sets the tone for how I show up and allows me to focus.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Adrienne, I’m the founder of ENVY Makeovers LLC, I’ve spent over 23 years perfecting the art of timeless, travel-friendly glam. My goal has always been simple, to create a beauty experience that feels calm, personal, fun & unforgettable. ENVY isn’t just a name, it’s the feeling my clients carry when they leave my chair.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
For me, I think in both personal life & business, bonds break when trust fades and consistency slips. They’re rebuilt through accountability, transparency, and showing up even when it’s uncomfortable.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me strength & how powerful I really am. Success just showed me the results of it if I stayed consistent & pushed through.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I once thought everyone who said they were “with me” really was. Time showed me that some people only stand beside you for what they can get, not who you are. Now I don’t confuse access with alignment, & pay a lot more attention to my intuition & energy.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I’ve learned that sometimes the universe/God will let things fall apart just to show you what’s real. Every time I thought I was losing something, I was really being redirected toward alignment. I’ve never been the type to ask why – because even the pain carried purpose. That understanding softened me… but it also strengthened me.
