Alicia, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Reading and coloring in my color book. Listening to a book while coloring is a great way to relax the mind. Which is why it brings me joy. It calms me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! I’m a wife and proud mother of two boys. I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician and solo spa owner for over 7 years, and my passion for skincare has been a driving force in my life.
My journey began with a love for all things beauty. I spent countless hours watching GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos and skincare routines on YouTube, inspired by the creativity and care in the beauty community. Although I was too shy to create my videos, I channeled my passion into starting a beauty blog. Through my blog, I shared insights about affordable beauty products, the latest skincare trends, and makeup tips. It was my outlet to talk about what I loved—but I knew I wanted more.
I also created hand-whipped body scrubs and butters, selling them locally during this time. These small steps were part of my larger dream, which I realized while working full-time as a legal assistant at a law firm. I decided to pursue my passion by enrolling as a night student at the Elaine Sterling Institute, initially to enhance my makeup skills. However, after signing up for the Esthetician Program, my love for skincare truly blossomed. I was captivated by the facial machines and the science behind improving skin health, and I quickly realized this was my calling.
After graduating and passing my state board exam in 2018, I opened AliciaDion Beauty Spa in Marietta, GA. Since then, I have been privileged to serve clients and grow my business. I’m honored to have been voted Georgia’s Best Esthetician in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
I’m passionate about helping aspiring estheticians discover their potential and build careers they love.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Giving birth to my two boys. I felt so powerful after each birth. If I can birth two humans what can’t I do!!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re everything they said you’re not. Always remember how smart, resilient, beautiful and loving you are.

“Luxury means quality”
Many luxury products share formulas or labs with mid-range or even drugstore brands. What you often pay for is packaging, fragrance, and branding, not superior performance.
