Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Brandon Woodford of Atlanta/Macon

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brandon Woodford. Check out our conversation below.

Brandon, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity – because it sets the foundation for everything else. You can teach skills and inspire energy, but you can’t fake being genuine. Especially in the creative and small business world, your reputation travels faster than you do. Integrity keeps people trusting your brand and vision.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brandon Woodford, and I’m the owner of WIZDUM Brand Co. , Macon Merch – Print & Supply and Making Merch. I’m a US Army Veteran, Certified Screen Print Technician, Creative and Entrepreneur born and raised in Macon, Georgia. Through my work, I merge streetwear culture, local fulfillment, and hands-on craftsmanship.

WIZDUM Brand Co. represents the inquisitive lifestyle and streetwear side – rooted in self-expression, self-awareness, community, and purpose. What makes my work unique is the mix of small-town authenticity with a larger creative vision. I started printing out of passion, but it’s grown into a full movement that connects design, entrepreneurship, and storytelling. Macon Merch – Print & Supply focuses on custom apparel printing and collaborations with local artists, brands, schools and businesses within the 478 area. Making Merch serves the same purpose with the same components, just marketed to a broader target market.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to screen print merch for a few notable clients such as GOD IS DOPE, Tiny Harris, Shekinah Anderson, United Way & Skate Plug ATL.

Right now, I’m working on expanding the trio of brands- growing our live printing events, building partnerships, and launching new collections that showcase where I’m from and where I’m headed.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents. They taught me the value of hard work, consistency, and doing things the right way even when nobody’s watching. Watching them handle life’s challenges with persistence and faith showed me what real work ethic looks like.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, most definitely. There were moments when things felt too heavy – times when money was tight, equipment broke down, or life outside of business got overwhelming. But every time I thought about giving up, I reminded myself why I started. This is more than a job for me: it’s my purpose and my way of inspiring others to keep pushing. Those tough moments actually fueled me to go harder and turn pressure into progress.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
Fads come and go — they catch quick attention but fade just as fast. Foundational shifts create lasting impact; they change how people think, create, or connect. I pay attention to what actually adds value and stands the test of time. If something aligns with my purpose, my community, and still makes sense a year later, that’s a real shift. If it only lives on social media for a week, it’s just static.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That success takes time — real time. People see the finished product, not the years of trial, mistakes, and growth behind it. I’ve learned that the process itself is the reward. When you move with purpose instead of chasing instant gratification, everything starts to align naturally. Patience, faith and consistency will take you further than talent alone.
