We’re looking forward to introducing you to Debra Mazer. Check out our conversation below.
Debra, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I drink fresh spring water. I do breathwork on the Amethyst Biomat (a $2K infrared crystal mat I give Reiki Sessions on.) I shower, then I journal for 3 pages via The Artist’s Way. I end my journaling with a Gratitude List, I channel a short letter (a few sentences) from my Inner Wise Self (via my mentor, SARK). I script my day, and come up with my words of the day. Then I go into a 20 minute meditation. Then I do Affirmative Prayer. The whole process, including fashion, and smoothies or drinks for the morning, takes about 2 hours. It’s non-negotiable for my wellness journey, as a healer and intuitive, to clear my channel and have this time for myself. Even if it means waking up early, I do this every day! We all have our own practices which nourish us. Some do yoga, some work out in the morning, some people drink coffee. This is my practice these days!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Debra. I’m a Celebrity Plant-Based and Raw Food Chef, Winner of The Best of Raw Awards for my product, Hot Love Chocolate Truffles.
I’m also a Reiki Practitioner, Certified Life Coach, and Certified Holistic Wellness Coach.
I’m a Psychic Reader/ Intuitive, Prayer Warrior under Rev. Michael Beckwith (New Thought Spirituality/ Agape International Spiritual Center), and Ordained Minister/ Wedding Officiant through Universal Life Church.
In my free time, I love dance and movement, wild food foraging, tantra, community gatherings. I am here to help bring the Healers and Lightworkers together and be a bridge of understanding across race and culture, to co-create the New Earth.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a child, I loved playing in nature and making potions out of leaves, flowers, bark, and playing under trees. My best friend Lauren and I created puppet shows and invented board games.
I was a Girl Scout and earned badges on my own time with my other best friend Michelle.
I was highly creative, loved gymnastics, loved to talk and share about my day or anything else important to me.
I loved to sing, and performed Whitney Houston’s The Greatest Love of All in front of my whole neighborhood.
I loved to ride bikes through the woods, eat honeysuckle, play with my friends.
I was also smart and very good at Math. I knew my ABC’s before most kids! 😉
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
I remember being a High Achiever and basing my worth off of AP classes and good grades in High School. I was devastated when I didn’t get into AP English.
A kind teacher pulled me aside and gave me a hug. I cried to her. She assured me of my worth and goodness.
I had struggles at home and with friends in the drama of middle school and high school, and didn’t have the emotional support I truly needed. This teacher was a spark of unconditional love during this time, when I thought I had to perform, hide, or be quiet in order to be accepted and truly loved.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Community, and Networking. Bringing people together. Authenticity and creative expression. Love, positivity, and hugs. Healthy clean eating, living, and being free!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
She was an inspiration. She loved. She was safe, she was an ally, she saw the best in everyone. She was dedicated to her voice, and to living free, self-expressed, and life as adventure. I felt safe, loved, seen, and worthy in her presence. She inspired many and was a close friend to many! She will be remembered for generations to come through her powerful legacy.
