Bre Nicole , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Struggles are avenues that no one can eliminate. Yet we secretly perpetuate and perpetrate like we can when no one is excluded from trials, tribulations and battles in life—— which are essentially all struggles .

I think as a society we never speak on that .

What people never say about this is since no one is excluded from one particular life’s struggle over another , or how one struggle may be different over others , no one can say it doesn’t affect everyone differently.

With spiritual guidance , leadership and walking in faith with Biblical principles and faith in Christ from my foundation , understanding that love, faith, and joy are all choices , my struggles have built resilience within.

For an example: You don’t just fall in love . Love is a choice . And you don’t just not believe in the impossible efforts of not seeing your business come in fruition or any of the unseen without having faith , no you don’t .

You have faith as well as put work and effort behind the process ; as faith without works is dead and while joy is a choice of dedication , discipline , perspective , mindset and gratitude.

We choose these qualities and values , just like other choices ——there is free will too. There is free will even within the struggle of understanding you don’t have to be negative and discouraged when encountering negative circumstances or struggles.

I think people secretly struggle with this because of instant gratification and a fast pace society. It’s the illusion of life must always go our way and that struggles are pit holes . Having a positive and healthy mindset can make a struggle seem small even when it’s big because you don’t get stuck in the crevices of not having solutions .

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m ecstatic that Voyage ATL is having me back on their platform to catch back up on what’s been going on with the Bre Nicole J brand since our last interview conversation——conducted 3 years ago right after the aftermath of the pandemic !

To catch the readers up I am a former Radio Personality from Detroit and the metro Detroit surroundings as well as Michigan State Capital area.

I first began my start in radio at the age of 16, as a student ambassador for my high school’s radio station, 88.3 WSHJ.

It was there where I developed my passion for connecting with the audience, discussing relatable topics that teenagers my age were experiencing, while programming music into the station’s log. I also developed my high school studies electives into acting with dance outside of school . I cohosted a morning show with 5 of my peers called ‘The Urban Way’ .

After high school I decided to pursue more of my passion in radio by taking on an internship at Detroit’s Inspirational station, 1440 AM , now WMKM.

During the time , the entire 1440 AM family helped me developed my voice by allowing me to complete voice overs and commercials for paid clients.

Bre Nicole J is a graduate from Specs Howard School of Media Arts in the Metro Detroit Area where she received a full ride scholarship and with a continuing B.S in Family Studies and Communications. She has interned for a plethora of radio stations and companies including a Top Hits 40 radio station in Detroit.

While also being an actual on air radio personality for two large market radio stations in Southeast Michigan and the Capital in Michigan.

In the recent year she has casted and had the opportunity to have a job interview for a radio morning show The Mojo In The Morning Show as a potential cast member , that is now inducted and the guy has into the Radio Hall of Fame ——on iHeart’s Radio Detroit’s Channel 955.

“ In 2014, I started working on my creative journalistic writing skills.

I founded a blog site called Inside The Girls Room that focuses on the empowerment of men and women all over the world, working in their specialties, while also highlighting music, fashion, positive on purpose ‘ New Pop Culture – putting the positive back in popular culture , healthy lifestyles , film ,relationship topics with exclusive Inside The Girls Room Interviews known as our Walk In Closet Exclusive Interview Series .”

“Most recently we had the pleasure of sitting down and interviewing Our First Exclusive TV show guest Hollywood LA Director LazRael Lison of Summer House Pictures with films on BET such as Christmas Angel , Style Me For Christmas and A Miracle Before Christmas.

Director LazRael Lison has worked with actors such as All The Queen’s Men and Sistah’s cast member Skyh Black , Actors and Musician Romeo Miller and Mario , Comedian Pretty Vee , Elise Neal , Dani Leigh and most recently Paula Patton with her return comeback debut in Finding Faith .

Finding Faith premiered nationwide and starred Paula Patton , Loretta Devine , Keith David , Demetrius Grosse, and Stephen Bishop : “it was such a privilege and honor to have Director LazRael Lison on Inside The Girls Room promoting his new faith base movie . He gave so many memorable moments and perspectives.”

Since our last interaction and insight on who I am , I am diving into my creative and artistic journey very inquisitively , constructed and refined for refinement.

I have appearances right now on two movies and one tv series out on the streaming platform of Tubi Free Streaming movie & tv network ;

The Ugly Truth written and directed by DeShon A Parks , Motor City Waves Written by Miss Hannah Productions, & The Dirty D season 1 episode 1 written by Lisa Brown and directed by Lisa Brown & Kamal Smith base in Detroit , where “that role was to market while embrace taking back my power of diving into my artistic abilities of coping with a choice I made that ultimately went viral in which left a stain on my sexual integrity and what I stand for . I utilized this role to take my power and control back from being a victim to a victor and marketed it pretty well with being included in the show”

I also have an appearance in another movie that will be featured on Tubi and other platforms written and directed by Wil Lewis named Love Hard starring

This past year I recently got signed to a Talent Agency by the name of Wink Talent Agency which is my mother agency and will continue to look forward in working with them in the months to come . I also have a few other offers on the table with two other agencies . One in Melbourne, Australia and another Michigan Base Modeling company with the opportunity and invitation to participate in a New York Modeling & Acting Convention in July 2026.

Besides creative curating content , radio work , and acting , I enjoy being the canvass as a muse to diverse photographers with an eye to make illusions or creations with the muse : so yes I love to model ! Whether it’s for fun or for pay !

I am aiming to adapt more of a natural aesthetic with my style and unique taste in art and sophistication .

This is in hopes that other women see themselves in reality and how God sees them , showing grace and loving all of who they are starting from the inside whole and then outwardly .

What’s good to be made up if the inside is made up and maybe believable but ain’t really reality ?

I want all women to feel empowered with loving whole of who they are inside to reshape their identity on the outside .

Especially with owning up , being accountable and taking care of their natural aesthetics via hair, body ,mind , and soul.

As of now with modeling , I would love to be featured in some of the world’s high class famous quality end magazines such as Vogue of course ! Teen Vogue ,Harper’s Bazaar, Tom Ford ,Guess, Elle, Allure , Glamour , Maxim and even CoverGirl .

Oh yeah speaking on faith right !? I took a leap of faith and decided to join the live Maxim CoverGirl model competitions of CenterFold , Natural Beauty Model , and Euro Summer Vlog Shoot !

I am also aspiring on artistry with music as well with artist in training and development . Putting out some of my own indie music of expression art and the journey of life inspiring others with positivity and endurance to fuel negative situations that come to defeat you into positive reactions and outcomes !

Bre Nicole J is still working with a day to day job in the Community Health worker field sector and servicing others as she has decided to pursue acting, modeling, and developing the brands of up and coming artists, reading, traveling, writing for her blog site Inside The Girls Room, developing other forms of writing skills, artist development and mentoring the next generation of women to be great by not selling themselves short and becoming the norm , and restructuring her non profit SOS. Her motto is ‘Life Is A Journey’

Life is such a Journey that Bre Nicole J is also working on a memoir that she is not willing to reveal just yet with our readers as it is a 38 chapter memoir thus far outlining her journey of triumph in radio , trials and error in relations , relationships and radio, trials & tribulations and still reaching for success with integrity and faith ; a film / docu series and a teenage girl comic book for ages 7-13 .

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe that the lack of healing , communication, safety, integrity , trust due to omission of truth or part/half truths(which is still technically a lie) , understanding, forgiveness, gender role equality or expectations & comparisons , the lack of personal boundaries and not taking accountability in the response of corrections and ultimately not keeping God in the center is what breaks bonds between people . What restores them is often times the reverse of what the lack of these values and qualities are that shape and conform them. It takes effort in restoring those qualities .

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The wounds of betrayal and grief have been the defining wounds of my life in which many have left scars of post traumatic stress experiencing certain forms of hyper vigilance and uncertainty in some capacities of the motives of others .

Healing that traumatization of experiencing betrayal from those who didn’t deserve an introduction into who I am but were shown grace through the person I am in faith, integrity , and humility is a constant journey of forgiveness.

First forgiving myself and making a choice to continually forgive the person who trespassed due to their own infallibility. I also don’t just practice the process of forgiveness I also utilize my healthy coping skills of creativity and art with expression and gratitude.

If you focus on the negative actions or responses of others of what they did or didn’t do for you , you’ll never grow and get better .

You’ll always be focused and stuck in the past of what a person should’ve, could’ve , would’ve or didn’t do .

Who wants to be stuck in life like that ? I know I don’t !!

So instead I choose to sprout and grow from the bitters and thorns that weren’t always meant to cause wounds of destruction, but were meant to cut to purge away the bitters of whatever poison was in me or around me.

Faith and forgiveness is also exercising mindfulness, gratitude, and not being impulsive in decision making but gaining clarity and peace.

It’s a practice to the process of the progress including being patient with oneself.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That inauthenticity,unfiltered, over exaggerated narratives , unrealistic expectations & outcomes , and non positive solutions in indie film or social media skits is humor , normal , or even engaging and entertaining.

Yes people are looking for the real and the raw , yet people are also looking for positive outcomes and solutions for those that want it to be kept real and raw when executing cons and pros in choice making .

In the model world I think the biggest lie the industry tells is that you have to look like the next social media model or influencer .

Authenticity is key and language . Diversity is key , especially when including more natural aesthetic looks even in the black Native American community and hair texturism culture of different hair waves , kinks ,curls , & coils .

All women are beautiful, we just have to learn how to embody that beautiful into a blessing and not a curse or a beckon of our entire existence of our platforms .

Beauty isn’t rare , it’s not duplicated , it’s just being mocked as if we can’t own inner beauty first while honoring the nature of our outer existence and true self care to the body , mind and soul even our natural hair texture.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I’ll lead by these two quotes and then a scripture of the Bible I will leave with to not put my perspective on the light that’s in me on the inside that others have tried dimming or even myself and own demises. Fear of the unknown is what it really comes down to.
