Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Sasha Sansalone of Neighborhood

Sasha Sansalone shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Sasha , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
My strength. People see the smile, not the battles I overcame to keep it

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sasha Sansalone , the proud owner of Crafting Besties Sublimation Paper and founder of Crafting Besties LLC. I’m a crafter, creator, and educator on a mission to help others turn their creativity into confidence (and even a business!).
What started as my love for designing T-shirts and crafting from home has grown into a brand that empowers thousands of crafters to create boldly. Through my tutorials, one-on-one classes, and free Facebook community, I teach real techniques that help everyday creators level up their skills from sublimation printing to building a thriving T-shirt business.
At Crafting Besties, it’s more than just paper it’s about passion, purpose, and a community that inspires each other to keep creating. 💕

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that changed how I see the world was realizing not everyone clapping for you is really happy for you. I built a circle I thought was solid until business and jealousy showed me otherwise. It taught me to move smarter, protect my peace, and trust actions over words

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time I almost gave up. My circle had betrayed me, my business partner wasn’t showing up, and I felt like the world was against me. Everything I built started to feel heavy like maybe it wasn’t meant for me after all. But even in that storm, something in me said, ‘Keep going And I did. I rebuilt, I refocused, and I realized that sometimes God will break everything around you just to rebuild you

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is real. I share my good days, my bad days, and everything in between. I’m not here to paint a picture I’m here to tell a story.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
i hope people say I made them feel seen, supported, and inspired to never give up on themselves. That I didn’t just chase success I helped others believe they could have it to
