An Inspired Chat with Shannon Anderson

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Shannon Anderson. Check out our conversation below.

Shannon, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I am currently traveling the world and tapping into new energy. Being able to see and learn about different cultures, helps me to put a new perspective on things. Shifting me more into a life that I love.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Shannon Anderson, a story telling expert who helps people package up their story and skillset, that generates income online.

After years in the book publishing space, I understood that our stories are the back bone to our lives and businesses. Helping people tap into their story and package it up to help others, is what I really love doing.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be I was filled with curiosity. For a little girl, I had a lot of confidence and was pretty fearless. I didn’t believe that I could fail, I believed that all things were possible for me.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and start using it as my power when
I released my first book almost ten years ago. I turned my pain into power and my story into success. Ripping off the band aid, getting vulnerable, and helping others along the way.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Michelle Obama for her character and not her power. I believe that she is authentic and true to herself. I believe that who she is who she is on camera,is the same person she is off camera.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired today I believe that my customers will miss my rawness the most. Standing in my truth, even when it isn’t pretty. That’s hard. However, I felt that it was necessary, and I am still working hard to push that rawness even further.
