Inspiring Conversations with Traci Danielle of Brevard Talent Group, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Traci Danielle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up on the Spacecoast in Florida. My father worked at the space center for Martin Marietta. My mom stayed at home raising my brother and I in the 60’s & 70’s in Satellite Beach, FL. The best years ever! I graduated Class of 1979 from Satellite High School. At that time my mother was working for former Senator Bill Nelson. She eventually opened a modeling and acting school. It was the beginning of “Hollywood East” when Disney/MGM Studios and Universal Studios opened in Orlando. I started out representing models for work in department stores doing runway shows. Doors opened when there was a need for agents in Florida to represent actors. Forty years later here I am, still operating Brevard Talent Group in Central Florida. It has been an honor to represent hundreds of actors for commercials, film and television. My favorite part of being an agent is developing new talent and being a part of their journey. Actors are a unique breed among themselves. I hope I have made a positive impact to all of my past and current clients. Personally, “Gaga” loves spending time with my grandchildren. Sleepovers are the best! I live in an amazing community called “The Springs”. We have a private springs we can swim in, on my walks I see deer’s, otters, peacocks and other amazing wildlife. I am truly blessed!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life has many struggles from being a mother to becoming a grandmother. Losing a daughter to a drug overdose and both of my parents was a very difficult time in my life. The business has not always been a smooth road. When I started as an agent, Florida was third in the nation for filming. The state use to have a film incentive. Unfortunately the state closed the film incentive program making it harder for filmmakers to shoot in Florida. There are a few counties in Florida that offer a local film incentive. I am glad they see the positive impact of filming and the many talented people in the film business who choose to live in the Sunshine state.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brevard Talent Group, Inc. ?
Brevard Talent Group represents actors for commercials, film & television. The agency started on the Spacecoast and relocated to Orlando twenty years ago, and recently relocated to Longwood, FL. The agency is franchised by SAG-AFTRA-AEA. I am very proud of my hard working clients. One audition can change their life. I am a part of their team to support them on their journey finding work as an actor.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, without computers and cell phones. Playing outside with friends in the neighborhood. Walking two miles to school and to the library, through neighborhoods and Patrick Air Force Base alone with my mind keeping me company and without a care in the world. Riding bikes without helmets. Watching missile launches in my backyard. Watching Leave it to Beaver and Walter Cronkite on the evening news during the Vietnam war and the first moon landing. Listening to classic rock on my first stereo I bought from working at J.C. Penney. Those were the good days!
