Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey with HOTWORX began in 2019 when I joined as a member while studying at The University of Alabama. I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness and was primarily running at the time, but I knew I needed to cross-train to build strength and protect my joints. I quickly fell in love with the efficiency, flexibility, and results HOTWORX offered, especially during a busy season of life as a full-time student, working, and balancing life with my family.
That flexibility and impact inspired me to take the leap into ownership, and in January of 2023 I opened HOTWORX Woodstock alongside my mom, Martha. What started as a personal fitness solution quickly became something far bigger than I ever imagined. Today, we’re proud to support a growing community and an incredible team, helping others prioritize their health in a way that fits their real lives. As a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, being able to live, work, and play in my hometown has been a dream come true. In May of 2025, we expanded and opened our second location in Canton, GA.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has taught me something. Balancing family life while starting a business had its tough moments. There were long days, late nights, and times I wasn’t sure I could handle it all. Learning the ins and outs of running a studio, building a team, and making sure everything ran smoothly was a lot to take on.
Having my mom, Martha, alongside me made all the difference. We leaned on each other, celebrated the small wins, and got through the hard days together. Looking back, the struggles make the successes, like opening our second location in Canton, feel even more rewarding, and they remind me how grateful I am for this journey, as well as our community!
As you know, we’re big fans of HOTWORX Woodstock, GA (Towne Lake). For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At HOTWORX, we specialize in infrared fitness, offering a variety of workouts designed to help people get stronger, burn calories, and improve overall wellness in a time-efficient way. Our studio is open 24/7, which means our members can fit their workouts around their real lives, whether that’s early mornings, late nights, or in between family and work commitments.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
You’ll often find our family in the studio together. My husband is our “Mr. Fix-It,” always there to save the day when something needs to be repaired. Our 8-year-old daughter, Audrey, loves being involved in everything HOTWORX, and our two-year-old son, Ashton, is the entertainer! You can often find him trying to clean sauna doors or “working” on the equipment! There’s certainly never a dull moment around the studio and we are eternally grateful for our gym family! There’s truly nothing more special to us than this little community.
