Today we’d like to introduce you to William Hunter.
Hi William, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This business started simply by helping friends who needed support, guidance, and someone they could trust. What began as small favors quickly turned into a realization that this was something I wanted to build for real. Owning my own business became more than a goal — it became a personal mission, and I’m fully committed to growing it, no matter how long it takes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey hasn’t been easy. I’m building without investors, funding everything myself while working a full-time job just to keep things moving. Progress can be slow, exhausting, and uncertain at times — but the passion never fades. Every challenge reinforces why I started, and every small win makes the struggle worth it. I believe deeply in what I’m building, and I’m determined to see it through.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
AutomateIT is a Georgia-based, veteran-owned technology and automation company focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses operate smarter, faster, and more securely. We specialize in custom automation, business software, and IT solutions that remove manual work, reduce errors, and give owners back their time.
Our core strengths are process automation, custom web applications, POS and scheduling integrations, AI-assisted tools, and ongoing IT support. Many of our clients come to us overwhelmed by disconnected systems—manual data entry, scheduling chaos, unreliable reporting, or outdated websites. We step in, analyze their workflow, and build practical, affordable solutions that actually fit how their business runs.
What truly sets AutomateIT apart is that we don’t sell cookie-cutter software. Every solution is custom-built around the client’s real-world operations. We combine software engineering, automation logic, and IT support into one relationship—so businesses don’t have to juggle multiple vendors. Our clients appreciate that we speak “business first,” not just tech, and that we remain hands-on long after a project launches.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of our reliability, transparency, and long-term partnerships. We build systems that are secure, maintainable, and scalable, and we stand behind them. As a veteran-founded company, discipline, accountability, and trust are central to how we operate.
We want readers to know that AutomateIT exists to level the playing field for smaller businesses—bringing enterprise-level automation, AI, and IT capabilities to organizations that are often overlooked. Our goal is simple: make technology work for people, not the other way around.
Any big plans?
Looking ahead, our primary focus is scaling AutomateIT in a smart, sustainable way while deepening the value we deliver to our clients. We’re actively expanding our recurring service offerings so businesses can rely on us not just for one-time projects, but as a long-term technology partner.
In the near future, we plan to grow our automation and AI-driven solutions, making them more accessible and affordable for small and mid-sized businesses. This includes expanding our work in workflow automation, intelligent reporting, and AI-assisted business tools that help owners make faster, better decisions without needing a technical background.
We’re also focused on geographic and industry expansion, particularly into underserved and rural markets where businesses need modern IT and automation support but lack access to enterprise-level resources. As demand increases, we plan to responsibly grow our team and partnerships to maintain the high level of service and hands-on support we’re known for.
Long term, our vision is to build AutomateIT into a trusted, go-to brand for business automation and IT services, while continuing to innovate and evolve with emerging technologies. What we’re most excited about is helping more businesses scale efficiently—without increasing complexity—by giving them systems that grow with them rather than hold them back.
