Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamika Martin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a Chicago native who moved to Georgia 13 years ago to provide a better life experience for my son. I’ve always been a hard worker and a great team player. I’m always looking for ways to assist people and provide a positive environment for myself and others. I started my first business 5 years ago because I wanted to have more flexibility to spend time with my family and continue to walk in my purpose. Cleaning soothes me and I absolutely love doing it. I was born to be a boss and since I took the plunge to step out on faith and follow my dreams I’ve created Purple Hearts Cleaning LLC to assist residential and commercial customers with their cleaning needs. I value my customers time and appreciate all the support and resources I have received since becoming a business owner. And I look forward to growing and building my business for many years to come.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting out was kind of rocky, but I stood firm and remained committed to not giving up and showing up each day with a different approach.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve worked in the health care industry for over 20 years as a CNA assisting the elderly and disabled with daily tasks in both community and home settings. I love helping people! And that’s what keeps me going. I’m most proud of always showing up and ready to work and provide a positive experience to my clients and their families.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Me never looking to give up, but always trying to make a difference in whatever situation I’m faced with
