Hi Lola, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Lola Peterson, and I am a Physician Assistant and owner of Sluice Drip Spa. I have been practicing as a Physician Assistant for about ten years and have specialized in providing medical services in these areas of medicine: OBGYN, Family Practice, Urgent Care, and Emergency Department. I love what I do. What makes me great at what I do is my passion for helping my patients and clients by providing them with excellent care and educating them on how to live a better and healthier life while addressing their most urgent needs.
After many years, I finally answered the call to service my patients by opening a Health and Wellness spa called SLUICE DRIP SPA in Peachtree City. Sluice Drip Spa is a vitamin infusion and wellness spa serving community members who want to replenish their health and positively impact their entire body.Identifying the gap in healthcare services, I envisioned a space where mild medical symptoms could be effectively treated through IV infusion therapy, offering a reprieve from the unnecessary strain on ER resources. This focus on preventive and wellness-driven care is the cornerstone of Sluice Drip Spa. It’s not just about offering an alternative to traditional healthcare routes; it’s about crafting a new narrative in wellness that empowers individuals to take proactive steps toward their health in a comfortable, non-emergency environment.
Launching Sluice Drip Spa was a leap towards embodying my ideals. We are now open 2 + years and still growing.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a completely smooth road, and that is part of what has made the growth meaningful.

Like many boutique med spas, one of the early challenges was positioning. In a market saturated with quick fix weight loss offers and transactional IV clinics, we had to clarify who we are and what makes us different. We are not a volume based clinic. We are a structured, medically guided, boutique experience. That required refining our messaging, tightening our brand voice, and being disciplined about not competing on price alone. There were also normal startup realities: managing cash flow, balancing marketing investments, hiring and training staff while maintaining a premium client experience, and navigating changes in the Industry.

Each challenge forced us to elevate. We strengthened our operations, clarified our value, and doubled down on being structured and medically guided rather than trend driven. The road has required adjustments, but every obstacle pushed us toward building a more refined, resilient, and trusted premium brand

At our core, We are a structure driven clinic.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories comes from growing up in Nigeria, in a home where family was not just important but central to everything we did. Life felt deeply rooted in culture, tradition, and togetherness. Even the simplest evenings carried meaning.

Some of my most treasured memories are of family gatherings under the moonlight. When the sun set and the air grew cooler, everyone would come outside. We would sit together in a circle, cousins close, elders at the center, the soft glow of the moon lighting our faces. There were no distractions, no rush, just the comfort of being surrounded by people who belonged to one another.

The elders would tell stories passed down through generations. Folktales filled with wisdom, humor, and life lessons. Sometimes the stories were about brave heroes or clever tricksters. Other times they were about our own family history. We listened closely, wide eyed and curious, hanging onto every word. Laughter would rise into the night air. Sometimes there were moments of silence when a lesson settled deeply into our young hearts.

Those nights shaped my youthful outlook on life. They taught me the value of connection, respect, and shared identity. I learned that belonging is not just about living in the same house. It is about listening together, laughing together, and growing together. The togetherness felt safe and powerful at the same time.

Looking back, I realize that those moonlit gatherings were more than simple family time. They were lessons in love, culture, and community. They formed the foundation of who I am today.
