Today we’d like to introduce you to TC.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started FlickzbyTC from resilience, purpose, and a vision bigger than photography. From a young scholar in middle school, I always knew I was destined to become the CEO of my own business; I just didn’t know what that business would be. As I grew through middle and high school, I faced intense bullying simply because I chose not to conform to what everyone else was doing. I refused to give in to peer pressure, and for that, my confidence was deeply attacked. The bullying shattered my self-esteem to the point where I sought psychiatric help. For a season of my life, I questioned my worth. But after graduating high school, I began rebuilding myself. I rediscovered my strength, my faith, and my identity. During the COVID era, I discovered my passion for photography and everything changed. Photography became more than a camera and lens. It became a calling. I created FlickzbyTC to help others reclaim and experience confidence the way I had to fight to regain mine. I understand what it feels like to have your confidence broken by a world that struggles to accept individuality. That’s why every session is intentional. Every pose is empowering. Every image is designed to remind you who you are. My journey also inspired me to write my first book, Finding Myself: Discovering ME through God’s Image, where I share my life experiences and how I rediscovered myself through faith and self-reflection. At FlickzbyTC, my mission is simple: To make every client feel seen. To make every client feel valued. To make every client walk away confident; not just in photos, but in life. Because confidence isn’t just captured. It’s restored.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been a smooth road. There were seasons where I felt completely stalled. Weeks would go by without booking a single client. My phone stayed quiet. My inbox was empty. And in those silent moments, doubt grew louder. I began questioning everything. Was photography really my lane? Was I actually talented? Did I miss my moment? I found myself comparing my journey to other photographers; even those who started after me. I watched their rapid growth, their fully booked calendars, their constant inquiries. And I couldn’t help but wonder why my path didn’t look the same. I understood that everyone’s journey is different. I knew that comparison is the thief of joy. But knowing that didn’t stop the thoughts. Not gaining clients. Not increasing revenue. Not seeing immediate results. It made me hesitate to invest in new equipment. I questioned whether upgrading my gear even made sense. There were moments I wanted to throw in the towel completely; to walk away before I embarrassed myself further. I was constantly in my head, battling thoughts that maybe I wasn’t meant for this industry. But what I’ve come to understand is this: Growth is not always loud. Progress is not always visible. And purpose is not always immediately profitable. That quiet season didn’t break me; it refined me. It taught me discipline when there was no applause. It taught me consistency without validation. It forced me to build confidence that wasn’t dependent on bookings. And now I realize: rapid growth looks good on social media, but sustainable growth builds legacy. FlickzbyTC isn’t built on overnight success. It’s built on resilience.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional photographer with over six years of experience in portrait photography, specializing in portraits, prom, birthday, graduation, fashion, and lifestyle photography. But FlickzbyTC is more than a photography business; it is a brand built on resilience, professionalism, and purpose. From the moment a client inquires to the final delivery of their gallery, I provide a seamless, professional experience. My background in retail taught me that customers value competence, clear communication, and consistency. It also taught me how to navigate difficult situations with grace; responding with patience, positivity, and professionalism. I live by the phrase: “Kill them with kindness.” I am most proud of my resilience. The photography industry is competitive. Early in my journey, I struggled with comparison. I wanted rapid growth. I wanted to stand out immediately. I quickly wanted to be better than everyone else. But I was still refining my craft. I was still growing. That pressure could have broken me. Instead, I leaned into six core traits that define both me and my brand: Resilience. Confidence. Patience. Perseverance. Faith. Determination. Without those traits, FlickzbyTC would not exist today. There were moments I doubted myself. Moments I considered walking away. But I chose to stay in the game. I chose to perfect my craft. I chose to be patient enough to grow into the professional I now confidently call myself. My photography style is centered around one core concept: naturalness. When I capture an image, I aim for the right shot; not something overly manufactured. During editing, I enhance rather than alter. I believe true beauty already exists in the raw image. My job is to unveil it, not replace it. To me, naturalness is confidence. Naturalness is authenticity.
Naturalness is power. Today, I am proud of the level I have reached in my career. Not because it happened overnight — but because I earned it through patience and belief in myself. FlickzbyTC represents more than photos. It represents growth. It represents confidence. It represents becoming who you were always meant to be. And now, it’s my time to shine; to let the world know who TC is and what this brand stands for. Because when you believe in yourself, you unlock the greatness that was already within you.
Any big plans?
The future of FlickzbyTC is expansion. I don’t just want to be known as a photographer; I want to be known as an entrepreneur. Photography is my foundation, but ownership is my goal. My vision is to open a creative studio on the south side of Atlanta. Currently, many of the most established and visually appealing studios are located in areas like Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, or downtown Atlanta. For creatives on the south side, this often means traveling miles away just to access professional space. I want to change that. I want FlickzbyTC Studio to become the creative hub for Atlanta’s south side — a space where photographers, videographers, models, stylists, and entrepreneurs can bring their visions to life without having to leave their community. This studio will represent: Accessibility. Ownership. Creativity. Community. Economic growth on the south side. I want to design the studio exactly how I envision it from the lighting setups to the aesthetic themes. I want control over the creative direction, the pricing structure, and the experience clients receive. It will not just be a place to take pictures; it will be a space that inspires confidence, innovation, and collaboration. More importantly, it will represent possibility. It will show young creatives from the south side that they don’t have to relocate to northern suburbs to build something professional. They can create, grow, and succeed right where they are. FlickzbyTC will evolve from a personal brand into a creative ecosystem. This is bigger than photography.
This is about building infrastructure. This is about ownership. This is about legacy.
