Meet Kyle Kahn of Newnan, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Kahn.

Hi Kyle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has never been about building a single company; it’s been about mastering the architecture of human experience. Eighteen years ago, I founded Kyle Kahn Event Management with a vision to redefine large-scale production—moving beyond just ‘events’ to creating immersive, world-class moments that stay with people forever. That same drive to elevate culture led me to establish Kyle Kahn Studios Dance Excellence eleven years ago, where we’ve spent over a decade cultivating the next generation of artists.

I’ve always believed that a true visionary sees the patterns that connect different industries. Whether it’s through my decade-long venture in retail or my history of strategic investments and successful exits, my path to where I am today has been defined by one core philosophy: identifying potential where others see a vacuum.

I didn’t get here by playing it safe; I got here by having the conviction to invest in my own vision and the discipline to scale it. Today, I don’t just manage businesses—I lead ecosystems that empower creativity and community to thrive together.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? If it were smooth, it wouldn’t have any rhythm! As a professional dancer and entertainer, I’ve always known that the most breathtaking performances happen when you find the flow within the friction.

In my world—spanning 18 years of high-stakes event production, over a decade at the studio, and a thriving retail venture—the ‘struggles’ are really just the rehearsals for the big show.

Of course, there were moments that felt like a missed beat. Navigating a global standstill in the events and dance world wasn’t just a business challenge; it was a test of my spirit. But my ‘North Star’ has always been high-energy optimism. I’ve learned that as a leader, your energy is the thermostat for your entire organization. If I’m not bringing the sparkle, how can I expect my teams or my audiences to feel it?

I’ve had investments that didn’t hit the high note and projects that required a total technical reinvent, but I’ve stayed center-stage through it all. I still work with major entertainment companies because I love the craft—I’m a ‘student of the game’ as much as I am a CEO.

The road hasn’t always been paved, but I’ve danced my way through every pothole. For me, the struggle isn’t a setback; it’s just the bass-line that makes the eventual success sound that much sweeter!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I often say that I’m in the business of human connection. While I’m incredibly proud of the longevity of Kyle Kahn Event Management over the last 18 years, the real joy has been seeing the communities we’ve built.

Whether it’s a large-scale production or the daily energy at Kyle Kahn Studios for the past 11 years, my work is really about creating spaces where people feel seen and inspired.

What I specialize in—and what I hope I’m known for—is intentional energy. Because I’m still active as a professional dancer and entertainer, I have a deep, personal respect for the ‘grit’ it takes to be on stage. I bring that same heart to my retail venture and my investments. I don’t see them as separate businesses; I see them as different ways to support the community and the people who make them happen.

What sets me apart? I think it’s just the fact that I’ve never lost my ‘student’ mindset. Even after nearly two decades, I’m still the first person to get excited about a new idea or a talented student. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve been able to stay happy and high-energy in industries that can be very demanding.

To me, success isn’t just about the ‘win’—it’s about making sure the people around you are rising along with you. I just feel grateful that I get to wake up and create every single day.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’ve always said that the day you stop being a student is the day you stop being a leader. I have a bit of an obsession with the classroom—I find so much joy in the process of mastery.

Because I juggle a large-scale production company, a studio, and retail, I’ve had to pull from a wide variety of ‘toolkits.’ I’ve studied Leadership Excellence at the Disney Institute to learn how to create magic at scale, and I’ve earned my Masters from NYU Tisch to stay deeply rooted in the performance industry. I’ve even gone the technical route as a Microsoft Professional and leaned into the human element through Life Coaching. I’m actually thrilled to say I was recently accepted into Juilliard’s Dance Choreography masters certification program.

For me, these aren’t just certificates; they are different languages that help me communicate better with my teams and my students.

In terms of ‘apps’ or ‘systems,’ I’m actually a bit of a nerd—I design my own task management systems. I’ve found that when you operate across so many different sectors, you need a custom blueprint to keep the energy high and the details sharp. But my most valuable ‘resource’ is simply listening. I love hearing different points of view. Whether it’s a veteran in the entertainment world or a new student at the studio, I’m always looking for that next lesson.

My best work happens when I’m combining the precision of my systems with the inspiration I get from the people around me.
