Check Out Princess Elmore’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Princess Elmore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has truly been one of faith, persistence, and purpose. I’ve always had a love for storytelling and performance, and I knew from a young age that I had a calling in this industry. That passion began with school plays, church performances, and singing in the choir, and eventually grew into participating in local stage productions and touring live performances. Those early experiences planted the seeds for the path I would later pursue professionally.

Like many people in this industry, my path wasn’t a straight line. I also carried the responsibilities of family, motherhood, and building a life outside of entertainment. Over time, I realized that those experiences weren’t distractions — they were actually shaping me into the artist and coach I am today.

As I continued pursuing acting professionally, I began booking roles in television and film, which helped me grow both creatively and personally. Each set taught me something new about discipline, collaboration, and the power of representation. Projects like The Wonder Years, Dynasty, Chicago Med, Tulsa King, The Chi, the film Till, Love Marry Kill on BET+, Incision on BET+, Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas, and more recently my role as Dr. Patrice Taylor in Vanished, helped solidify my confidence and reminded me that timing and preparation truly meet at opportunity.

Along the way, I discovered another calling — coaching and mentoring actors. That passion led me to create Lasha Production Group, where I help actors build confidence through audition coaching, self-taping, and career guidance. Being able to pour into others while continuing to grow as an actress has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

Today, I see my career as more than just acting. It’s about creating opportunities, telling meaningful stories, and showing others — especially women and artists who may feel overlooked — that it’s never too late to step fully into your purpose. I’m still evolving, still learning, and still dreaming big, but I’m grateful for every step that has brought me here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No — it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s true for most people pursuing a career in this industry. There were many moments of uncertainty where I questioned whether I was on the right path. Acting is a career that comes with a lot of waiting, a lot of rejection, and far more “no’s” than “yes’s,” and learning how to keep going through those seasons was one of my biggest challenges.

I’ve faced moments where opportunities didn’t come as quickly as I hoped, and times where I had to make sacrifices that I never fully anticipated — balancing family, finances, and personal responsibilities while still chasing a dream that doesn’t always feel guaranteed. There were seasons where I had to step back, reassess, and remind myself why I started in the first place.

But those struggles taught me resilience. They taught me patience, discipline, and faith. Every challenge helped shape my perspective and strengthened my commitment to the craft. I’ve learned that success in this industry isn’t just about talent — it’s about endurance, growth, and trusting the process even when the outcome isn’t clear.

Looking back now, I can honestly say the difficult moments were necessary. They prepared me for the opportunities I have today and helped me become not only a stronger actress, but also a better mentor to the actors I now coach and encourage.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear several hats in the entertainment industry, but at the core, I’m a storyteller. I’m a working actress, acting coach, and creative entrepreneur. As an actress, I specialize in emotionally grounded, authentic characters — women who carry strength, vulnerability, and depth. I’ve been blessed to work across television and film projects, and I’m known for bringing heart and realism to the roles I play, whether it’s drama, faith-based storytelling, or character-driven work.

In addition to acting, I’m the founder of Lasha Production Group, where I coach actors in audition preparation, self-taping, and building confidence in their craft. Coaching has become a major part of my purpose because I don’t just want to succeed personally — I want to help others grow and find their voice in this industry. I specialize in helping actors connect emotionally to their material while also understanding the professionalism and discipline required to sustain a career.

What I’m most proud of is being able to build a career that blends artistry with service. I’ve worked hard to create opportunities not only for myself but for the actors I mentor and the stories I help bring to life. Seeing my students gain confidence, book roles, or simply believe in themselves more is just as rewarding as landing a role myself.

What sets me apart is authenticity. I bring real life experience, faith, and resilience into everything I do. I understand the highs and lows of this business, and I lead from a place of encouragement rather than competition. Whether I’m on set or coaching behind the scenes, my goal is always the same — to create meaningful work, uplift others, and leave a positive impact through storytelling.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The entertainment industry is constantly evolving, and I think the biggest shift we’ll continue to see over the next 5–10 years is how quickly things change — from the way content is created to how audiences consume it. Streaming platforms, digital series, social media storytelling, and shorter-form content are already reshaping the industry, and I believe that trend will only continue to grow. There’s more opportunity than ever for creators and actors, but it also means the landscape is more competitive and fast-moving.

One thing I’ve learned is that this industry never stays the same. Technology, audience expectations, and even casting trends shift constantly, so you have to be willing to evolve with it. The actors, creators, and businesses that succeed are the ones who stay open to learning, adapt to new platforms, and find ways to remain authentic while still growing with the times.

I also think we’ll continue to see more diverse storytelling and more opportunities for voices that were once overlooked. Audiences are craving real, layered stories and characters that feel honest and relatable. That’s exciting because it opens the door for more meaningful work and deeper representation on screen.

Overall, I see the future as a blend of creativity and enlarging more content for self-growth. Actors are no longer just performers — many of us are creators, producers, and brands in our own right. The key will be staying grounded in your craft while also being flexible enough to embrace change. For me, that mindset of growth and adaptability is what will keep artists not only relevant but thriving in the years ahead.
