Check Out Maria Alejandra’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Alejandra.

Hi Maria Alejandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey began with the founding of Alibombo, an art and design studio based in Miami, Florida. What started as a passion for visual storytelling has evolved into a multi-disciplinary creative business. Today, Alibombo focuses on high-end branding and the creation of digital products and resources available on global platforms like Etsy and Adobe Stock. A defining moment in my career was co-authoring the book ‘esto también es crear’, which explores how we can all embrace our creative potential. Through my studio and my project @sketchingmyjourney, I aim to bridge the gap between fine art and strategic design, helping others find their unique creative voice

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my biggest hurdles was bridging the gap between being an artist and being a creative entrepreneur. In a competitive environment like Miami, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. The real struggle was finding the courage to step away from ‘safe’ client work to focus on projects with a deeper purpose. There was a significant internal battle to trust that my unique creative process was enough to build a brand around.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Alibombo, I specialize in high-end Wedding Branding and comprehensive Event Branding. I am widely known for creating bespoke invitations and visual identities that serve as the heartbeat of a celebration. What I am most proud of is being recognized as a go-to stationer in Miami, where I help clients transform their visions into tangible, artistic experiences. What sets me apart is my ability to treat an event like a unique brand; I apply strategic design thinking to every detail, ensuring that the first invitation a guest opens is just the beginning of a seamless, beautifully curated story.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
“The best networking happens when you lead with value rather than a pitch. In my experience building Alibombo into a go-to for Wedding Branding, the most successful connections came from treating other vendors as collaborators rather than competitors. For anyone looking to grow as a best stationer or designer, I recommend engaging deeply with the local creative scene. In Miami, that means showing up for other professionals and being a resource. Whether I am collaborating on high-end invitations or complex Event Branding projects, I’ve found that being generous with your expertise is the fastest way to attract a mentor. When you contribute to the industry’s growth, the right mentors naturally take notice of your work.
