Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Camp.
Hi Natalie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my photography and videography journey in 2019 with my husband, focusing on weddings. I began as a second shooter while also training myself to improve my photography editing skills. I still remember our very first wedding. It was fast-paced and nerve-wracking, nothing like I had imagined. That experience taught me the importance of organization, preparation, and understanding the business side of creative work. From there, I’ve continued to grow, honing my skills in both photography and videography while learning to approach each project with a mix of creativity and professionalism.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, my journey has been a smooth process, but I’ve faced a few challenges along the way. One of the biggest struggles was learning the difference between technical “right” ways to do things and personal creative preference. Early on, I realized that while there’s a foundation to build on, at some point, creativity becomes about expressing what I want my work to reflect. Another challenge was being introverted and navigating the art of networking. Over time, I’ve gained more experience and confidence in connecting with clients and other creatives, which has made my journey much smoother and more rewarding.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in graphic design using Canva, along with video and photography editing. My primary focus is real estate photography and content media, where I help brands and professionals elevate their visual presence.
I’m known for my editing skills, clean aesthetic, and attention to detail. I take pride in transforming everyday content into polished, high-quality visuals that feel intentional and aligned with each client’s brand. What sets me apart is my ability to combine creativity with strategy. Creating content that not only looks good, but performs well.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as evolving. As the content world changes, so does my editing style and creative perspective. Success, to me, is staying adaptable, continuously improving my craft, and growing alongside the industry while still maintaining my unique creative identity.
