Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie McIntyre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie McIntyre.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker for as long as I can remember. Alongside earning my Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media, I’ve gained hands-on experience working on over 25 film and television productions as a PA, screenwriter, director, and actress. My background in gymnastics and body contortion allowed me to become a stunt actress. I am incredibly proud of being a Walker on AMC’s The Walking Dead and a CRM soldier on AMC’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, where I was featured next to Andrew Lincoln (‘Rick Grimes’). I have also worked on Blumhouse’s Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. I am incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited to keep bringing films to life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started without any industry connections which meant I had to earn every opportunity from the ground up. I use every step backward as motivation to push forward.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In the film industry, I specialize in the horror genre. In addition to working on film and television productions, I also create content for TikTok (@smcfilms) and YouTube. I host a podcast titled Let’s Get Spooky with Stephanie. As an international filmmaker, I recently directed an independent film that is currently submitted to festivals around the world.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have to give so much credit to the teachers who laid my educational foundation in film, and to the amazing community of fans and followers I’ve connected with around the world. I am grateful to anyone who supports me.
