Exploring Life & Business with Meikhel Philogene of M.E.I. News

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meikhel Philogene.

Hi Meikhel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
While in law school, I founded the public relations firm and marketing agency, M.E.I. Recordings, which has worked with acts like Cameron Dietz, Ike Rhein, and Liv Hanna. Fast forward a few years later, I founded the apparel company, Psalm Infinity, which donates proceeds to charity. Last year, I founded the media outlet, M.E.I. News, which has partnered with NewsBreak and has other exciting partnerships to be announced in the very near future.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The initial obstacles were financial and a lack of resources, but those were overcome by gumption and networking. Your network is your net worth.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Always be professional and don’t be a jerk. Professionalism tends to get you further than expertise, and you attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
