Today we’d like to introduce you to Quezz The Connect AKA Quezzboi.
Hi Quezz The Connect , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started at the age of 12. One day I was listening to music with my younger cousin and told her I believe I can write a song. As most cousins would do, she challenged me. Stating, “if you think you can do it, do it!” I can’t remember how long it took exactly but it couldn’t have been more than an hour for me to complete the task. From there, I never just listened to music, I wanted to create it. The journey began! In the 8th grade I clicked up with some friends and we created a group. It lasted until my senior year in high school. We all branched off but I stayed consistent. From creating demos, releasing a mixtape & doing shows here and there, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. Wanting more major publicity and opportunity, I decided to move to Atlanta as a young adult. I released a single and ended up working with industry professionals, producers, engineers, media and program directors. I always wanted to learn the music business. If you ask how did I build most of my relationships, I’d give God all the glory. Music became something I loved but put less money into because I realized too much funds was being spent with no return. I always showed love to my peers and right before Covid hit, I got an offer to become the brand ambassador for an app (Sound Capsul) and indie artist showcase at a staple location in Atlanta called iLounge. When that opportunity came about, I became the example of what support is supposed to look like between peers and people in the industry. I would be a hype man, camera man, liaison to industry professionals and just an all around person the artist respected and could talk to. I was being the example for the artist by performing along side them at events and providing constructive criticism to the artist for their betterment. As of now, I’m still the Soundcapsul ambassador and I’m an influencer to the creators. I recently released a new song called R.N.W (Right Never Wrong) March 30,2026 and I’m hopping back in the driver seat.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles along the way was spending money just because I had it and not doing research in the beginning of my career. A lot of people will say they can do this and that, but the only way to really know the who’s who, is by building relationships and checking actual results of different individuals/businesses. So I would say the struggle was knowing who to trust and when and where to invest. Just because the opportunity looks good doesn’t mean it’s beneficial. Especially if you don’t go in with a plan or the proper tools to market yourself. Building a solid team is also important but can be difficult.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist, song writer, brand ambassador, booking agent and liaison for the artist. I specialize in creating dope music and connecting the dots. I’m more so proud of my growth than any one thing in particular. I’m a host now, I have the credentials to A&R and the relationships to walk people in rooms with very beneficial names in the Atlanta market. I also have relationships outside of Atlanta but Atl is primary. As a creator my best work is “Wide Open” & “How I’m Coming”. I’m believing my new single (R.N.W) will touch people in a different way. It’s more personal and relatable due to me venting via prior relationships. Usually the music I make is more party vibes.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
They can reach out to me personally and I’ll direct them to my business partner. I’m more responsive to serious DMs or emails.
