Conversations with Landon Murray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Landon Murray.

Hi Landon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Landon Murray. I’m 27 years old and an Atlanta native at this point, though I was originally born in Miami. Atlanta is really where I grew up, especially on the east side, and it played a major role in shaping who I am today.

I’ve always had a balance of creativity and structure. I studied performing arts and business administration, and most recently became a full-stack web developer, which added a new dimension to how I build and create.

I actually started creating content back in my high school days. When I got to college, I put it to the side to focus on my studies, but after graduating, I picked the camera back up and I haven’t put in back down since.

Now, As a content creator I focus on lifestyle, skincare, health, and wellness. However, at the core of everything I create is healing and growth. I speak a lot about doing the internal work and making the decision every day to be better than the version of yourself you were yesterday. That message comes from real experiences and things learned, unlearned and evolving in ways that aren’t always easy.

Over time, I’ve really stepped into who I am. I’ve grown into someone who is intentional, self-aware, and committed to evolving and I use my platform to encourage others to do the same in their own lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. A lot of my walk in life has come with challenges that pushed me to grow in ways I wasn’t always prepared for.

One of the biggest struggles has been navigating my own mental and emotional space while still trying to show up consistently not just online, but in life as well. There were times where I had to step back and really do the internal work before I could even think about pouring into others (which is something I love to do, because people need cheerleaders to keep them going). Balancing that with expectations, both from myself and from others, hasn’t always been easy and more of a battle that i consistently have.

I’ve also faced moments of doubt questioning if I was on the right path, if what I was creating mattered, or if I should be doing something more “secure.” On top of that, being open and vulnerable, especially as a Black man, comes with its own set of challenges. There’s a certain pressure to hold things in, so choosing to share my experiences openly took time and courage.

Looking back, it hasn’t been smooth or linear. It’s been a process of learning how to keep going while figuring things out in real time, without always having clarity or certainty about what comes next.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is rooted in storytelling and personal development through content creation. I create lifestyle-focused content on YouTube, with an emphasis on skincare, health, wellness, and overall self-growth.

On my Youtube channel (LandonMuxxay), I share real experiences and lessons from my own life and through my vlogs in a way that feels relatable and honest. I’m not trying to present a perfect image. I’m more focused on documenting my life in real time. That includes growth conversations, mental health, discipline, self-care, and the everyday process of learning yourself while still trying to move forward in life.

I’m most proud of is my consistency and my willingness to stay honest in my content, even through different seasons of life. I started creating back in high school, not really knowing where it would lead, I just knew I enjoyed expressing myself that way. When I got to university, I stepped away to focus on my studies and figure out my direction, but over time I realized that creative part of me never really left. Coming back to it after university felt different. It wasn’t just about picking up a camera again, it was about returning with more intention, more life experience, and a clearer sense of who I am. Since then, building my YouTube channel has been a steady, personal process.

What sets me apart is that my content is not just lifestyle-based it’s just life and I am just living in through a lens. I focus on depth, not just aesthetics. I speak directly to people who are in the middle of figuring themselves out, healing, or trying to grow through what they’re going through.

I’m not creating just to post or follow trends. I’m focused on being real about what growth actually looks like, especially when it’s messy, uncomfortable, or uncertain. My content reflects that in a very honest way, and I think that’s why people connect with it.

At the end of the day, I want my platform to feel like a space where people can breathe, reflect, and feel seen while also being encouraged to keep showing up for themselves.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice is to start before you feel ready and stay consistent even when it feels like nothing is happening. For me I know a lot of people like myself get stuck waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect setup, or the perfect version of themselves before they begin, but growth really happens in the process, not before it.

One thing I wish I knew earlier is that my journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It’s easy to compare yourself when you’re starting out, especially on social media, but everyone is building at their own pace, with their own timing. What matters most is staying true to your voice and your message, even when it feels like no one is watching yet.

I also wish I understood sooner that consistency is more important than intensity. You don’t have to do everything all at once, but showing up repeatedly over time builds something real, a real and authentic community. And most importantly, give yourself grace. You’re going to evolve, your content is going to evolve, and that’s supposed to happen.

Trust the process.
