Today we’d like to introduce you to Zachariah Smith.
Hi Zachariah , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is defined by a refusal to let my starting point dictate my destination. I was raised by a single mother in East London and walked out of school without a single qualification to my name. In a world that often writes you off for that, I used it as my fuel. I realized early on that if I wanted a seat at the table, I had to build the table myself.
In 2016, I went all-in. I launched my own event recruitment and marquee businesses, scaling them from the ground up into one of the top crewing operations in the UK. We became the backbone of the global entertainment sector, providing the critical infrastructure for West End theatre, high-profile corporate ceremonies, and global icons like Elton John and the Spice Girls. By 2022, that grind earned me the ‘Young Black Entrepreneur of the Year’ award.
But when COVID-19 leveled the industry, I didn’t fold. I pivoted to my roots, using my logistics background to coordinate food deliveries for hospitals and local food banks across the UK. Once the world reopened, I knew I had outgrown my surroundings. I made the boldest move of my life and relocated to Dubai, taking my expertise to a global stage.
That move was the catalyst for an incredible international chapter. I spearheaded the expansion of a major production group, opening their headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and managing the production for massive spectacles like Formula 1 and MDLBEAST. My work eventually transitioned into high-level government and corporate strategy, where I contributed to monumental global summits like COP28 and worked across Europe on major government contract bids and strategic development.
While the journey looks like a series of wins from the outside, the reality was a ‘crazy journey’ of extreme highs and devastating lows. Navigating the pressures of global business and personal reinvention led me to become a strong ambassador for mental health. I’ve learned that true success isn’t just about the contracts you win; it’s about the resilience you build when everything is on the line.
Now in 2026, I have fully evolved into a full-time digital creator, model, and strategic consultant. I lead a verified community of nearly 200,000 followers, generating over 730,000 monthly views. Whether I’m managing a e-commerce portfolio or partnering with global brands, my mission is the same: to prove that you can move from an East London classroom with no qualifications to the front lines of government-level production and global influence. My brand, Lifestyle x Discipline, is the blueprint for that journey. I’m living proof that your starting point doesn’t define you—your discipline does.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been anything but a smooth road. To be honest, there were times when the road felt like it had completely run out.
The biggest struggle was the psychological weight of starting with zero. When you leave school with no qualifications and you’re raised by a single mother in East London, you don’t just carry the weight of your own ambition—you carry the fear that one wrong move will send you right back to where you started. I spent years in a state of high-performance anxiety, constantly feeling like I had to outwork everyone just to prove I belonged in the room.
The most brutal challenge came with the COVID-19 pandemic. I had spent years building my business into a top-tier operation, and watching the entire events industry vanish overnight was a massive hit—both financially and mentally. That period was a dark one. I was physically exhausted from the grind and mentally drained from the uncertainty. My health took a back seat while I tried to keep everything afloat and give back to my community. I had to learn the hard way that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Relocating to Dubai and Saudi Arabia brought its own set of trials. Moving to a new culture alone, spearheading government-level projects like COP28, and navigating high-stakes contract bids meant the pressure was unlike anything I’d ever felt. There were moments of intense isolation and physical burnout where I had to really confront my own mental health.
I’ve dealt with the physical toll of 20-hour workdays and the mental toll of being responsible for huge teams in foreign countries. I’ve had to learn how to advocate for my own well-being in rooms where “weakness” isn’t allowed. That “crazy journey” of extreme highs and deep lows is exactly why I’m so vocal about mental health today. I didn’t just “arrive” here—I crawled through some of those chapters. But those struggles are exactly what gave me the discipline I talk about now. You don’t get the grit without the fire.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time digital creator and model, but the way I approach it comes from a decade of high-level business.
I’m known for the “Lifestyle x Discipline” mindset. I’ve built a verified community of nearly 200,000 followers who genuinely ride for me because I’m transparent about the work. I’m not just showing the end result; I’m showing what it takes to get there. I’m known for being a bridge—someone who can navigate a high-stakes corporate boardroom in Europe or the Middle East one day, and lead a global fashion campaign the next. People respect that I’ve actually done the work.
, what I’m most proud of is the foundation. I’m proud of my family and the tight-knit support network that has been with me through every high and every low.
I’ve gone from a kid in East London with zero qualifications to relocating my life twice—once to Dubai and then to Saudi Arabia—to build a legacy from scratch. Most people would have stayed where it was safe, but I took the risk. However, I didn’t do it alone. Being able to stand here today as a successful entrepreneur and creator while keeping my circle strong and my family proud is my biggest win. Proving that you can navigate a ‘crazy journey’ of reinvention, handle the mental health struggles that come with it, and still have your people by your side? That’s what real success looks like to me.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see a huge shift toward authenticity. The era of perfectly polished, fake content is over. People want to follow creators who have real-world experience and a genuine story. For my brand, that means focus on deeper connections with my community and partnering with brands that actually mean something to my lifestyle. It’s not just about ‘likes’ anymore; it’s about trust and having a support network that grows with you.
