Hidden Gems: Meet Genevieve Volpert of Genevieve Noelle Photography, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Genevieve Volpert.

Hi Genevieve, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always been artsy (I danced my whole childhood) and I have always been drawn to beauty and emotion. I finally made the leap and bought my first camera in 2023 after being interested for quite some time and I never looked back. I am self taught and learned most of what I know from Youtube, trial and error and friends I have made along the way. I am so grateful to the clients who took a chance on me in the beginning. Model calls and styled shoots have helped me grow immensely and has elevated my work. I love documenting strong, real emotions, which is why I am drawn to weddings. I shot my first wedding for free in 2025 and have only grown from there. I feel privileged to be present on the best day of my couples’ lives. I have also become more passionate about documenting families in the last year since having my daughter. I am inspired everyday by the love I have for her and my motherhood experience. I draw a lot of inspiration from music and movies

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a military family, moving is a huge struggle. When we moved to Washington, I had to learn a new market, find new locations, and rebuild my business from the ground up. It was hard and I am not looking forward to our next move, but I know I can do it and I am more resilient because of it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a wedding and portrait photographer who specializes in family, couples, wedding and maternity photography. I take a documentary style approach to photography – I want to capture who people really are. I do not believe in performative weddings, I believe in being present and enjoying the day. I also fee really passionately that sessions should be stress free from start to finish. I send style guides, I help with all prompting and posing, and I send a sneak peek within 2 days. I am most proud of how far my business has come in only a year or so of being a licensed business. I lead shot 4 weddings in 2025 and now I currently have 9 for 2026.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I really look up to Jaimee Raneigh Photography, Megan King Photography, and Kayleigh Taylor. I am inspired by their work and strive to create art the way they do. Kyle Goldie’s Business Mastermind mentorship has been amazing and completely changed my business. He helped me get the skills to operate a successful photography business. I can’t recommend him enough.
