Conversations with Valencia Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valencia Green.

Valencia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My path into acting and modeling really came from a place of rebuilding. After losing my parents, I went through a period of homelessness that forced me to grow up very quickly and see life from a completely different perspective. It was one of the most challenging times in my life, but it also shaped my strength, my independence, and my mindset.

During that time, I found myself drawn to acting and modeling. It started as something that allowed me to mentally escape what I was going through, but it quickly became something more meaningful. It gave me a sense of purpose when I felt like I had lost direction.

Everything shifted when my cousin reached out to me about a casting opportunity for P-Valley Season 3. I almost looked at it as just another chance, but it turned into a defining moment for me. I showed up, took it seriously, and that experience opened the door to more castings and more opportunities within the industry.

From there, things began to build. Each audition, each set, and each connection helped me grow—not just professionally, but personally as well. I began to see that what I went through didn’t define me, but it did prepare me for where I’m going.

Today, I’m continuing to pursue acting and modeling with intention. I’m focused on elevating my craft, expanding my opportunities, and building something that lasts. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s real—and I think that authenticity is what drives me and connects me to the work I do.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Losing my parents and experiencing homelessness early on created a lot of instability and emotional challenges. There were times when survival came before anything else.

Even as I stepped into acting and modeling, I faced obstacles like limited resources, lack of connections, and having to build my confidence while still healing. Getting the opportunity to be part of P-Valley was a turning point, but it didn’t erase the challenges—it just showed me what was possible.

Overall, my journey has been about resilience and continuing to push forward, no matter the circumstances.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an actress and model, and I specialize in bringing authenticity and real emotion into every role or project I’m a part of. Whether I’m on set or in front of the camera, I focus on telling a story in a way that feels natural and relatable. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects like P-Valley, and continue to build my experience through various castings and creative work.

I’m known for my versatility and my ability to adapt. I can step into different looks, roles, and environments while still maintaining a strong sense of presence. I take my work seriously, and I’m always looking to grow and elevate my craft.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come—not just professionally, but personally. Being able to pursue a career in this industry after everything I’ve been through is something I don’t take lightly.

What sets me apart is my story and my resilience. I bring real-life experience, strength, and perspective into my work, and that translates into how I perform and present myself. I’m not just showing up to be seen—I’m showing up with purpose.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending time with my grandmother. I remember practicing how to walk in heels while balancing books on my head, and she would sit on the couch watching me with so much pride. It might seem small, but in that moment, I was already preparing myself for something bigger.

Looking back, it’s special to me because that was the beginning of my dream of becoming a model. It was pure, intentional, and filled with love—and it’s a memory that still motivates me today.
