Today we’d like to introduce you to Dia Davis.
Hi Dia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in a way that probably looks unconventional to most people. For a long time, I tried to fit into what I thought life was “supposed” to look like, traditional jobs, routine, stability. But I quickly realized that path just wasn’t aligned with who I am.
Everything shifted when I gave myself permission to fully step into what felt natural to me, creativity, connection, and freedom. That’s when I began building my career in real estate and pursuing acting at the same time.
Real estate became more than just buying and selling homes for me. It became about guiding people through major life transitions, helping them feel seen, heard, and confident in their decisions. I built my brand, The Goddess Realty LLC, around that energy, showing up authentically, standing out, and creating an experience that feels personal, not transactional.
At the same time, I started seriously pursuing acting, and things began to take off quickly. I’ve been consistently booking roles and growing in the film space, which has been incredibly rewarding. It allows me to express another side of myself creatively while continuing to build my presence.
Where I am now is really the result of trusting myself. I’ve learned to move with purpose instead of pressure, and to build a life that reflects who I truly am. I’m still growing, still evolving, but I finally feel aligned in both my personal and professional journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful.
One of my biggest challenges was trying to force myself into a life that didn’t align with who I am. I spent time in environments that felt restrictive, where I couldn’t fully express myself, and that created a lot of internal conflict. It took time and self-awareness to realize that I wasn’t meant to follow a traditional path.
Another challenge has been building credibility in industries where you really have to prove yourself. In real estate, you’re asking people to trust you with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. In acting, you’re constantly putting yourself out there and facing rejection. Both require resilience, consistency, and confidence, even when things feel uncertain.
I’ve also had to learn how to balance multiple paths at once. Pursuing real estate and acting simultaneously can be demanding, and there were moments where I had to figure things out on the go, manage my time carefully, and stay grounded through the chaos.
But every challenge has shaped me. It taught me how to trust myself, stay adaptable, and keep moving forward even when things aren’t clear. Looking back, I wouldn’t change those struggles because they pushed me into the version of myself I needed to become.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time real estate agent serving Alabama and Georgia, and I’m also a working actress. I’m not your typical “business professional”, I bring my personality into my work and show up as myself, and my clients truly appreciate that authenticity.
On the acting side, I audition and submit daily for new opportunities, and I currently have several upcoming films with a schedule that’s booked through the fall. That constant movement has given me an insatiable hunger to keep growing and creating.
I want to be known for the work I’m doing right now, and the passion and effort I put into it every day. What I’m most proud of is that I’m finally living my dreams, and showing others that there is no expiration date on going after yours.
What sets me apart is my strong sense of purpose and passion, and not being afraid to go against the mold.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always imaginative, expressive, and a little different. I loved creativity, performing, storytelling, and entertaining, but that side of me was mostly only seen by my family.
At school, I was very shy and timid. I didn’t fully express myself, and I was sometimes made fun of for being different or liking things that didn’t quite fit in with my peers. Because of that, I stayed quiet and played it safe for a long time.
At the same time, I had a rebellious side. Even though I was quiet, I didn’t always like being told what I could or couldn’t be, and that showed up in its own way.
I’ve always loved fashion and music, especially pop and rock, but I was also into anime and comic books. I like to think of myself as a glamorous nerd.
Looking back, I think I always knew I was meant for something bigger, I just hadn’t stepped into it yet. Now, I feel like I’m finally living out the parts of myself that were always there.
